Gamescom Livestream Recap
A few details were shared during the livestream that were worth mentioning.
- Joust - They wanted to capture the idea of knights fighting.
- Joust - Great way to feel like you can be rewarded against decks with lots of low mana creatures.
- There are no plans to add new classes until they can figure out a way to make them unique and not taking away from other classes.
New Card Reveal Vote - Warlock & Paladin Epic Minion
The next card reveal vote has begun! This time we're choosing between Warlock and Paladin Epic Minions! Who will you be voting for? Go vote for who you want to see revealed over on the voting website.
Heroes & Hearthstone Gamescom VoD
The stream has concluded and you can catch a VoD of all the action below.
Bread.
I like the Living Roots Druid Card. More choice for early game.
Glad that we're seeing some better reveals.
Those look like pretty good cards! I actually like all 6 of them, although they're going to have to release some more Dragons (either Warrior or Neutral) for Alextrasza's Champion to be any good. Still, a potential 3/3 Charger for 2 is GREAT- wonder why it wasn't in BRM?
Fist of Jaraxxus is pretty neat- a card Warlock WANTS to discard with Doomguard or Soulfire. If you have only it and Soulfire in your hand you do 8 damage for only ONE mana. I got a sneaking suspicion the set is going to include more cards with discard-based abilities for Warlocks too.
Charged Hammer is as weird as hell. A SHAMAN weapon? And its Deathrattle means no more totems for them for the rest of the game? Weird. But potentially not too bad, if you haven't built your deck around totems. Bit slow though.
The three commons are neat additions. My Violet Teacher Druid deck is going to LOVE Living Roots (especially as it's a 1-mana spell- most of the spells that are meant to work with Violet Teacher, like Power of the Wild, are 2 mana, meaning I often have leftover mana). I can see it now- turn 4, Violet Teacher, The Coin, Living Roots, Innervate, Power of the Wild. I'd actually overfill the board with 2/2s! Well I guess I could do it on turn 5 if I didn't get The Coin and not waste anything (Swipe something on turn 4?), or alternatively just use it for damage instead if I have something left on the board already. That's why I love the versatility of Choose One cards! Warhorse Trainer is an awesome follow-up to Muster For Battle, obviously, but it makes Silver Hand Regent even better for Paladin! And the mana economy of Flash Heal is just too good to pass up (especially with Auchenai Soulpriest)- surprisingly Priest haven't had a cheap, powerful, single-target "spike heal" spell like Holy Light or Healing Touch before, and this one has the best economy of all (1 mana-5 life vs 2-mana-6 life and 3 mana-8 life).
Kripp needs to find the Soap card.
If they don't reveal the Paladin card I will be really sad
67 cards relieved so far, so we reached half point
More new cards on a stream next Friday.
I guess the release may be the week after that.
Depending on how many cards with Joust actually see a lot of gameplay, that should change up the game a bit. Have heard people saying it will be a nice counter to aggro decks so it is interesting to hear Blizzard confirm that that was part of the plan.
assuming auchanei is already in play
Flash healx2 + velen+ auchenai + say smite = turn 10 24 damage combo!???
or light of the naru, or coin smite like wow
The only way a Priest could pull that off is if they're really lucky, or versing someone really, really dumb, or if their opponent disconnects.
Half way there.
With these 6 cards we have reached 66 total cards revealed.
666.
Illuminati confirmed.
Secret paladin is alive and well.
Regarding this card vote, I bet it's gonna be the Warlock horse!
66% for the demon \(+_+)\
I would like more Aspect champions, that seems pretty fun.
I'm going to vote left, because I am a Warlock main and I remember the quest to get my Dreadsteed.
I remember.
Ok people should vote for the reveling of the new paladin card and not for the new Warlock card (but the wralock card is so sexy i should resist and not vote for warlock)
Love the idea of Fist of Jarraxus
Warhorse Trainer is awsm <3
RANDOM EFFECT CARDS ARE AWESUM!!1 FOR EXAMPLE HUNTER'S LOCH AND LOAD. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ARE YOU GONNA GET FROM IT. FUN. FUUUUUN. THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE EXACTLY NEED
