Quote from BlizzardJoin us on a tour of The Grand Tournament, Hearthstone’s second expansion, to explore the tournament grounds before everything really kicks off later this month.
Nothing symbolizes the ideals of honor and chivalry more than a glorious knight mounted on a majestic steed!
Ah, yes! Valor! Chivalry! Shining armor! Lances! Murlocs riding frogs! MECHS! Indeed, The Grand Tournament has all this and more! The many denizens of Azeroth (and beyond) are represented by aspiring champions in this contest. Those with the good fortune of being among the cheering spectators are sure to feast their eyes on a veritable cornucopia of courageous cavaliers clashing in courtly combat. Whew! Try nobly shouting that three times fast.
A tournament where apes learned knighthood from men? Turns out that when it comes to inspiring others to grand feats of strength and heroism, passing a few bananas* around does the trick.
The Clockwork Knight is one of the few combatants in the Grand Tournament who has to perform regularly scheduled maintenance on a steed. After the Clockwork Knight finishes tinkering, there are almost always some parts left over to upgrade fellow mechs on the battlefield!
Sometimes, a mere crusader just isn’t enough. For those times, choose a Grand Crusader instead. Not only does it slice, dice, and gleam with holy light, this shining paragon of knighthood packs a potent Paladin punch!
We hope you enjoy your visit to The Grand Tournament. Be sure to check out our other The Grand Tournament blogs:

"Next Friday" is tomorrow
No 'this friday' is tomorrow. 'Next friday' is next week.
"This Friday" and "next Friday" are synonymous for me. If you want the Friday after that, that's "Friday next week".
Yeah I have a similar problem, I've chosen to find the words ice cream and power drill synonymous. I find it so rude when I go into an Ice Cream Store and ask for a double scoop of power drill and they don't understand me.
I'm totally with you man, everyone should start using MY personal version of English and not the version that is spoken by millions of people around the world!
Or maybe everyone should just stick with phrases that are intuitive?
we have a week more
no 19:00 CEST next week
Stahp making those random effect cards plx
Stop with these random cards... please! There are way too many cards have the word "random" in it. STOP IT!
it's NOT FUN...
When I play a card, I want to know what it does BEFORE playing it. In a constructed format, I could accept a couple random cards as Sylvanas or Ragnaros, but here we have exceeded the limit...
Agreed. Almost EVERYONE said GvG added too many random effects to the game, but that was thematically appropriate since the set was about the goofy goblins and gnomes whose inventions either work brilliantly or explode. Unfortunately, between Grand Crusader, Burgle, Nexus Champion Saraad, Lock and Load, Spellslinger and Effigy, Blizzard have pretty much admitted that they think "absurd lucky play" highlight videos on YouTube are more important than competitive balance. They really do think everything should be RNG-based because it's more "fun" than relying on boring old skill.
No wonder I'm starting to drift back towards Might and Magic: Duel of Champions again. Unbalanced as it is, at least there's almost NO RNG in it at all beyond the inherent "luck of the draw" common to all CCGs.
Completely agreed.
absolutely agree ;)
As a (mostly) Paladin player, I can't help but feel a little bit hurt that everyone has access to my "guys" now. And everyone has access now to all Paladin Cards? Just really weird, but oh well.
I actually like the card - I may run it in Paladin!!!!
Don't worry dude, not gonna see play in constructed!
A main phrase I've been hearing is that there are (assuming no tech cards like The Dark Knight), not that many 6 drops run in decks.
So IDK, it could possibly see play. Only time will tell.
I think there are better 6 drops
It should have been Deathrattle: Add an Armored Warhorse to your hand. I wish they would just announce a release date xD
As a big fan of Paladin I'm just curious, why are there already Silver Hand Regent and this piece of sh** Grand Crusader as neutrals giving Paladin's cards to everyone? Will we see any neutral giving my Paladin a Fireball? Or at least Arcane Intellect... Or maybe another piece of sh** that will spawn Mana Wyrms. Oh stop, I figured it -Flamestrike will be great for my Druid!
Ok, can someone tell me - why Paladins cards and tokens are given to every other class? Shaman now can invade the board in two turns with Regent! Viva Bloodlust! I do really want Fire Elemental as a 6 drop! Illogical move...
If "random paladin card" actually means "Tirion", I would consider this card. In any other case, it's at an very arkward mana slot and doesn't look very consistent. I could see this as a 3 mana 3/2 as some kind of unreliable cantrip like that chicken-dude.
Patch Notes 10.4.2.5: The paladin class is deleted, but dont worry! Paladin class cards have been relabeled as neutral cards.
