Actually it's not as bad since after 2 turns, your opponent needs to be careful to not play minions and block those other minions that were sent to the future. If they don't, then they would lose them.
Right, this opens a number of unusual plays. Lets say it's an aggro druid and you sent all his full board into the future. Does he continue to flood the board, knowing that some will be dead on arrival in a couple turns? Does he burn buffs in hand or wait until his board is back? And if you had Charge minions on the board, when they come back, they can immediately attack when they get back. If your opponent knows this, can you bait them into playing a Taunt minion at an awkward clip? I look forward to playing with this one.
Paladin in a serious identity crisis... such as Shaman was a couple Expansions previously.
Paladin's life story for the past 3-4 years, I just don't understand their logic.
Dragons and paladins failed attempts by hs team... Here we go again .
It’s never too late to make an Archetype that failed in the past successful later. Frozen Throne Freeze Shaman was famously bad, but Alterac Valley Freeze Shaman was good enough to have Tier 2 variants of it and its best card was nerfed twice.
Fun fact, that card that got nerfed twice looks a lot like this card! So even if dragon paladin fails, at least this card is looking quite good for other archetypes aswell.
As in basically making them dormant? Decidedly mediocre.
Not dormant actually as that would mean they are taking space, they are taken out of play for 2 turns (Boards are cleared).
They go *poof* for 2 turns. Actually
Will they retain the buffs and health damage once they're "re-summonned"? Will those that don't fit the board "die" and trigger their deathrattles?
If they're not even taking up space on the opponent's board then this is not good.
so paladin legendary is just a worse Gigafin?
I like the tempo paladin is getting this expansion, will it be strong, idk but at least it wont lose as often for not clearing a 1 drop or 1 big wave in mid/late game.
I once served a drink to a death knight!
They do related cards in one reveal; if the legendary were for self-inflicted archetype, it'd have been revealed yesterday
Interesting design of card which I think has some potential, but I really think Blizz should strive to make sure you know what a card does by reading the card, even if it's just a hover-over option in the library (I really think this is true for all cards with remotely complex text).
I know people will say - "you just need to see it in action once and then you know", but by that logic no card really needs any text at all. I could probabably have made a guess as to what happens, but my guess would probably have made the mininions dormant as that's the only current mechanic by which things cease to interact with the game and then come back.
Hmm - superficially it looks pretty awful, but if you do this against a full (or nearly full) board you're locking your opponent out for quite a while. I think this might be a lot better than it looks.
I don't see this card seeing any play outside something you'd want to discover as a last resort to stall a few turns. This is essentially board-wide Maiev Shadowsong, which saw no play. These stall cards are rarely good unless you're buying time for an instant kill combo.
Jailer paladin won't want this cause at 7+ mana, you're wanting to start playing your big cards and keep the board clear, not wait 2 turns when you REALLY need to be playing your big cards.
Targeting all minions on the board makes a big difference than targeting a single minion.
