Disco-lock was always a powerful deck, probably will see play again after years.
Discolock was never a powerful deck in standard.
It was a *really* long time ago. Doomguard/Soulfire/etc. in aggro warlock.
Saw a bit of a resurgence with Malchezzar's imp. But I think that fell off pretty quickly.
Then there was some discolock stuff in Ashes of Outland that saw play. More like a handbuff Warlock deck, though.
This looks like it could have the makings of a new aggro warlock deck using discard synergies, but it's... hard to see.
I was talking about Wild, fuck Standard
It's Doomguard but better
Doomguard has charge. Charge is better. Charge lets you create 4 Doomguards out of a cube and OTK the opponent with buffs out of nowhere.
This....can attack a minion.
Doomguy is back to standard, except it has rush and +2 attack
You can discard an undead, and summon a copy of it. But even better, you play this at 5, 7/7 rush and then discard two cards, which isn't bad at all. 4☆
Not that scary unless cheated out, or if it cheats out something else.
A 7/7 rush + 2/5 taunt + 2/5 taunt on turn 5 sounds like such a fabulous way to make your opponent uninstall the game
Not likely to happen but when it does, it will feel sooo gooood and.... miserable from receiving side :D
You can set that up fairly well.
The big problem with cards like these is when you're running multiple cards that discard cards, your hand can get kinda clogged. The "discard your lowest/highest cost" was a good change because it made them slightly more consistent if you have both in your hand. But for some reason this is random.
So as fun as this mechanic is, I think it's just too inconsistent to ever be especially good for ladder climbing.
Rush version of Doomguard.
Discard quest warlock tier 1 in wild!
THE TIME HAS COME!
ok, there's the first decent undead for the cheat-into-play effects.
