Shado-Pan Cavalry. NASTY for Rogues to coin out on turn 4 since it becomes 6/7! Pretty hard to play properly otherwise though (if you have to go first, for example) since you have to trigger the combo with a 0-mana card like Shadowstep (or a previously-Shadowstepped 2-drop), Backstab or Preparation+a 3-or-less mana spell. If it comes out any later than turn 5 you might as well just be running Boulderfist Ogre.

These cards aren't very good. "Use a silence on them and they're great!" Except you just wasted, at best, two extra mana and an Ironbeak you're going to need later for your opponent's obvious Sludge Belcher or about half of any other combination of things you're going to want a silence on.

Wrathguard is bad even silenced because for the same mana cost you can play Ancient Watcher and gain two extra health. Furthermore, Ancient Watcher is better because even unsilenced you can give it taunt and it makes a great meat shield with no drawbacks.

Aspirant is at least better since it has no actual drawback. It can also give you, at most, four possible Wild Growths if left unchecked. However, the chances of that happening are slim to none. But for 2 mana in druid you have better plays. Even Wild Growth is a better play on turn 2 since you're guaranteed to keep the extra mana.

At most, they've still shown only a handful (literally) of decent to good cards in this set. This will not change the cancer meta. This will only encourage people to not bother with this set.

Hmm, finally something interesting! Both are incredibly good minions to follow up with a Silence on, in order to negate their drawbacks, and even the Darnassus Aspirant's drawback is fairly minor- it's not making you lose anything more than what it gave you in the first place. Plus if you drop the Aspirant on turn 10 or later (if you draw it late) you should get an Excess Mana card, while its drawback is negated (if it's destroyed on your opponent's turn you'll immediately go back up to 10 mana again on your next turn), converting it into a 2/3 Novice Engineer.

Wrathguard is a bit riskier if you can't silence it (ironically, the last crappy card revealed, Flame Lance, would be DEADLY if used against it) but it's one of the biggest, cheapest minions in the game- almost as big as Millhouse Manastorm for the same cost and a MUCH reduced drawback!

I agree with most of what you said, however, if you plan on silencing the your Wrathguard, doesn't it makes mora sense playing a Ancient Watcher instead? 2 more HP makes big diferences.

Initially I thought the Darnassus Aspirant looked pretty useless, especially since I feel like your opponent will take it out immediately.  But you made some good points about following it with a silence or using it at 10 mana to get an Excess Mana card!

Good point. Except you CAN still use the Wrathguard even if you DON'T have a silence to spare on it- while the Watcher is literally dead weight until silenced. The silence just makes it better.

On reflection, I'm not entirely certain that playing the Darnassus Apirant at 10 mana DOES give you an Excess Mana card (does anyone know if the Grove Tender does if you chose crystals?). However, I had another thought about what you can do with it. 2nd turn> Wild Growth. 3rd turn (with 4 mana to spend)>Aspirant+Youthful Brewmaster. 4th turn, you have 6 mana, there's no risk of the aspirant being taken out and you can even play it again if you need more mana crystals! Puts ramp into overdrive.
