New Hearthstone Info by Ben Brode
Ben Brode had some information to share about The Grand Tournament on the PCGamer livestream.
Quote from Ben Brode
- We aren't done seeing good cards - lots of fun and crazy stuff is coming.
- Ben believes The Grand Tournament is the best thing they have done so far.
- "You won't be disappointed in the Druid cards"
- The team agrees more deck slots are something they need to do.
New Epic Card Vote
Epic! The next card vote is now live and we're choosing between two epic neutral minions, both of which use art that was previously shown during the Grand Tournament hype tweets. Who do you want to see?
Quote from Ben BrodeI'm voting LEFT again! :) The right card is way crazier though.
August Card Back
The August ranked card back has been revealed!
Deck Spotlight: Krup's Tempo Mage
If you haven't yet joined in on the awesomeness that is Flamewaker Tempo Mage, or you're looked for a different style of it, Krupsstone has written an excellent guide to get you started. This is a bit different than your normal Flamewaker mage though in that we don't make use of Archmage Antonidas as Krup feels it was too inconsistent for his liking.
You can join the craze for 5480 dust, which is primarily taken up by Sylvanas Windrunner, Dr. Boom, and Ragnaros the Firelord. You can find the deck below to get crafting right away, or head on over to the deck guide to learn more.

That card back though... ugh... I hate those colors... but it's not that bad
The main problem with releasing tier 1 legendaries is that new players, or players without the financial means, gain a huge disadvantage against everyone else. What stupid people don't remember is that everyone will be playing the tier 1 cards, so it doesn't help any one individual. Not you, not you, and not you. So why are you hoping so much for more tier 1 cards? As I said, new players or those without the financial means, means they auto lose just because of those cards.
You see? It really makes no sense to want the next dr. boom.
Lets hope for that... I really wanna see some pumped up badass new cards, I want a Boom on steroids! Enough of shitty cards, we already got tones of that.
Just got a mail from Team 5. They sent this:
Totally legit.
It has also been announced by Ben Brode during a stream organized by PC gamer that there will be new deck slots soon!! :)

Edit: Also Ben Brode only said, that they are working on new deck slots, but not when they will come out. So most likely not with the TGT-patch.
Something like deck slots is not that hard, i think it's not that unlikely that they will add it with TGT patch. The hard part is desiding how the new selection in fe. play mode should look like, not the actual addition.
Argent horserider is a Scarlet Crusader that traded the +1 attack for charge or a wolfrider traded the +1 attack for Divine shield.
Too bad Scarlet Crusader does not see constructed play and Wolfrider only sees some play due to this +1 attack
Or a Bluegill Warrior that costs one more mana for the divine shield.
Or a half of Argent Commander .
Not too impressed by either. Sure the +3/+3 looks like, but that extra mana could come back to haunt you if the enemy plays a mass AOE spell due to that +1 mana.
Not sure what a 2/1 for 3 mana aims to achieve. Using it to go face would be dumb and you're going to pop your DS if you hit a minion. For our own to get pinged the following turn.
Mill druid incomming!
Sexy new card back. Guess it's time to make the climb again...
...Shieldbearer rank here I come! /Kappa
In other news: the August card back is just gorgeous. Well played, Hearthstone card back artists!
"We aren't done seeing good cards - lots of fun and crazy stuff is coming."
When did we see the first good card? His version of good and mine are completely different. Mine is a card that makes people stop playing so much freaking aggro zoo cancer trash. That card does not exist in this set as of yet. His version must just be that they made cards so they must be good because they made them.
Pretty much ever single card so far has been focused on a slower meta. Have you been paying attention?
Effigy just fuels mage more than it already needs to be, especially mech.
Saraad is too slow. Immediate impact isn't until, at best, turn 7. And the spell is random. For one more mana I can get a 5/7, two 0/2's with taunt, and a Fireball in hand. Or Dr. Boom. Heck, for his cost I can play Loatheb and lock my opponent out of spell use for a turn.
Shaman is just more aggro fuel. Not what the game needed whatsoever. Certainly not what shaman needed.
Try again please.
No, it's focused so far on mostly cards cancer patients won't ever touch. That has zero impact on the meta. Shaman will do some card swaps since their cards are mostly aggro, mage will swap Mirror Entity for Effigy in mech, and everything else will just be fodder collecting dust, either literally or figuratively.
None of the cards they've released COUNTER aggro. Not a single one. Inspire is way too slow as a mechanic. Zoomagehuntards will still just stomp you into oblivion while you're trying to play your new shiny cards that are all slower than molasses.
So many cards that get much better when buffed. I guess we'll see some buff cards for most - maybe all - of the classes.
According to well-structured BRM design compared with RNGly-broken GVG, I think we have good reasons to believe that the whole of TGT won't be as disappointing as what has already been shown to us.
