There's a lot of talk and 'leaks' about a doom in the tomb event returning DK to standard. If they put the DK hero cards in standard, only a few will see play without some major buffs.

Priest might see some play, but then again, the big thing about it in wild is there's a card to make the hero power cost 0.

Mage won't see play. Too expensive and there's no elemental support in standard. The dawngrasp can currently give you a lot of mana of free spells and does a lot of damage.

Warlock has the same problem as mage, too expensive, no big demon support.

Paladin won't see play. They have Cariel atm. Even if they didn't, 9 mana for a 3/5 lifesteal weapon is too much. There's too much removal in game nowadays to get the win con going with the tokens, unless you're doing it with jailer.

Druid is the same as paladin. As soon as Guff was released, people cut the DK in wild, since the hero power does barely nothing and the battlecry just stalls a turn. Nowadays, it doesn't even stall due to the powercreep.

Warrior won't see play. It's too expensive, the enrage archetype sucks and got 0 support in the miniset.

Shaman could see play. Evolve is in the meta and it's a cheap hero card.

Hunter would definitely see play. It's an aoe battlecry, it's cheap, and provides infinite value.

Rouge is expensive. It could see play in miracle rogues, but I think the mana cost will stop that. Rogue wants to wrap up the game by 9, not start doubling cards.

DH doesn't have a DK card. I'd be willing to bet they'd make one and it wouldn't suck like the old ones.

Without major cost buffs and elemental/demon support for warlock and mage (if these wouldn't get rotated with a limited time event), this will be a dead event without major cost buffs.

There should be teases for the expansion starting today or tomorrow then.

Hopefully it will be as much as a successful expansion as last time, where I find my fun at BG's instead.
Ah well, it saved me a lot of money though. 

theorycrafting is often after the cards are revealed... so that means that if there is a theorycrafting event the cards will be revealed this week... i think thats a bit too fast and early for the next expansion... and if there is a new class comming, i predict the new class will be for the last month of this expansion and next expansion it will receive cards in the boosters...

I have been wanting Death Knights for years. Lich Kings threat emote must be "FACE NOW YOUR TRAGIC END!". You can't fail at that Blizzard. Come on.

I feel like DKs would be unlikely. We just had a dark gothic-themed shadowlands expansion and a DK expansion might be thematically too similar. If they were adding another class a Pandaria & Monks expansions would be my guess.

If it really is going to be playable DK than I'm the most hyped since KoTFT. Yes I'm really into the undead stuff from Warcraft

Honestly I feel like a new class would be saved for the beginning of a rotation like with DH. It'd be weird to add something that big midway rather than making it a defining thing for the year.

NOTHING can save the game at this point.

Only, maybe, the source code leaking out and people building private/custom servers.
