Quote from BlizzardFueled by friendly competition and fun, the Grand Tournament is a marvelous event where the greatest heroes in the land put their mastery on display before adoring crowds. At the heart of every hero is a special something that gives them the power to rise above and achieve victory. Now those powers are poised to become even grander!
Today, we dive a little deeper into Hearthstone’s second expansion, The Grand Tournament, by taking a look at how cards from the upcoming set will interact with Hero Powers with the addition of our brand-new game mechanic and keyword—Inspire.
Hero Powers are the manifestation of heroic prowess and play a major role in The Grand Tournament. Many of the valiant minions who will be joining your cause with this expansion have a knack for meddling with Hero Powers, making some stronger, some weaker, and changing some around entirely! One minion even lets you use your Hero Power multiple times per turn!
Giants are a pretty regular sight in the Tavern—when they’re not on the board bringing the hurt, they enjoy quiet nights with friends by the hearth, just the same as you or I. The Grand Tournament introduces a new giant to the fray, one with a slightly frostier disposition. Don’t let his appearance fool you, though. Frost Giant may look like a cold character, but use your Hero Power enough and he’ll warm up to you quickly!
What’s better than a Hero Power? A BETTER Hero Power, of course! Justicar Trueheart will supercharge your classic Hero Powers to mighty new heights. Imagine blasting an enemy with Heal for four damage (with the aid of an Auchenai Soulpriest), or summoning exactly the totem you need, just when you need it, with Totemic Slam!
Hero Powers have always been a cornerstone of the Hearthstone experience. The Grand Tournament introduces exciting new ways to bolster and change them that will make Hero Powers more heroic than ever.

Love Illidans art
I'm loving the merchant class. It seems like it could be a really fun class.
So I have this idea for the upgraded shaman power. Instead of simply picking your totem, why not just still make it random, but EVERY totem gains +1/1. Meaning if I used my new power and it randomly summons the taunt totem, it now is a 1/3 body instead of a 0/2. The healing and spell DMG would be the same stats as well, 1/3 bodies. Only totem that would benefit the most attack wise is obviously the 1/1 which is now a 2/2 body.. I think that's MORE THAN FAIR, considering paladin gets the same 2/2 stats but SPLIT up between two minions who also benefit from other cards like Quartermaster. I mean sure a 1/3 body for 2 mana doesn't seem OP but it also doesn't seem too underpowered. It's "just right" in my opinion.
I've never seen this idea posted yet so I'm not sure if it's already been a topic of debate or anything of that nature.
If not, please give me your honest opinions. I truly believe it's better than "picking your totem". I would take the +1/1 on my already existing totems while still making the totem a random selection. I can't think of anything better. HOWEVER, we cannot forget that there's a ton of cards not yet revealed, so maybe there's a card that'll make the "select your totem" worth it on turn 6 (coining out the BC effect with the minion that'll help on the board before the turn 5 coin, that way turn 6 you're able to use your hero power for the bonus bonus effect from whatever card helps that wedon't know exists, but just pure speculation.
Anyhow how I hope my idea is at least taken seriously. It's not like I'm some Shaman fanboy hoping to push Shaman into "As OP as Cancer FaceTard" not that I think face hunter is cancer, just using a well known example, lol.
Until next time...!

Perhaps. We do not know the rest of the Shaman cards. Your wish might be fulfilled as they seem to be going all-out with the Totem theme for Shaman this time around.
Hope this card will see some play, 6 mana for a 6/3 is kinda bad but at least it's more useful than Hemet Nessingwary.
New cards revealed boyz.
Random fun fact:
The winner of last week card design contest made a card very similar to this one :D

Ethereal Drake
He got it almost right, just the power for shaman and rogue is not correct

I'm just gonna give Blizzard "direct withdrawal" access to my bank account.
Almost the same with the champion of Weekly Design Competition #25 in Fan Creation section...
I love the idea but the minion attached is crap. Why can't blizzard just make the minions on these cool cards playable? :(
Based on what has been released so far, of course people are going to experiment a lot with those cards and if they like it, i think that's the sign of a slow/less aggro meta. But with more than 100 cards to go, who knows if they are going to give even more fuel to aggro...
Anyway, where is the new card?! It's almost another day, i want to know what that Tuskar does.
Oh, trust me. Cancer decks are not going anyway anytime today, tomorrow, next week, or next decade. When even mods on this site contribute nothing but cancer deck "ideas" (which are just the same thing someone else made six plus months ago, but they get the credit for it now all of a sudden), then Blizzard could design a 250 card set for nothing but midrange and control and the meta would still be majority zoo/facetard/mage.
So, don't worry. There will always be cancer. Blizzard will never make a cure for it.
We could just remove the first 4-5 turns of the game and start everybody at the respective mana pools. Remove early game entirely. Definitely would be more fun right?
no because all you are doing with that idea si moving the goalposts, you don't solve the problem at all, in fact you simply make it worse.
Hmm. Mixed feelings. The tempo loss on playing the Justicar is pretty dreadful- cost/stats-wise she's worse than Hemet Nesingwary (although of course she has an AWESOME Battlecry where he has a garbage one) and she's EXTREMELY likely to trade down against any 2-drops your opponent has on the table when you spend all of your turn 6 mana on her. Some of her enhanced hero powers are staggering (Warrior Priest), some are actually pretty useless (Rogue, Shaman if it doesn't allow you to double up on the same totem). I think the question is, as a turn 6 drop, is she going to be as influential as Emperor Thaurissan (who ALSO universally dies immediately despite better stats, so he might as well have a Battlecry rather than a continual effect). Then again, as far as I'm concerned Thaurissan is nauseatingly overpowered so "not as good as Thaurissan" isn't quite the kiss of death it sounds like.
Of course, if a Mage gets her from a 2nd turn Unstable Portal and plays her on turn 3, it's time to concede...
I'm soooo happy that they didn't give hunters a 4 damage hero power. All face hunters would be like 'oh god it's already turn 6 and I haven't wrecked you yet by only going face without even looking at the board? Well here's a fucking 4 damage hero power, have fun dealing with that. '
Imagine how much crap Blizzard would get from everyone who doesn't play face Huntard if they did that (and for good reasons). Something with shit and a fan.
I was sure Warlock would be adjusted to 4 hp draw 2 cards. Kappa
How likely each class will play this.
1. Warrior (Getting 4 Armor per turn is huge and Warrior can fit these expensive cards with value without being punished.)
2. Priest (Not auto-include but will still be very powerful especially with Auchenai Soulpriest.)
3. Paladin (Getting even more board presence is good, it's almost a Muster for Battle which combos nicely with Quartermaster.)
4. Druid (Getting 2 Attack will make you clear even more minions and getting 2 armor will make you more resilient against aggro)
5. Hunter (Face Hunter won't use it as it uses only things that costs less than 3 mana. But Midrange Hunter might use it for getting more damage in the long run. If we will see a Lategame/control Hunter it will definitely use this card.)
6. Mage (Mage is getting a 2 drop which does almost the same thing, so I think this card won't see much play in Mage)
7. Shaman (Using this card in shaman feels extremely slow and won't do as much as the other classes with this card)
8. Rogue (Getting 1 attack more on your dagger won't do much. Also Rogue doesn't have that much space in her deck and plays too much of a tempo game.)
9. Warlock (In Zoolock it won't matter as most games will end quickly and in Handlock it counters your game plan to lose life to put down Molten Giants.)
The next question is what possible archetypes will pop up from this, we can theroize right now how the current classes will or wont do but we dont know what other cards will pop up and what new decks will come from it. I did look at it from a warlock perspective and yes I dont see handlock using it because well no more life tap means no more motlens and just saying to replace them with the frost giants might be too soon cus we dont know if they will even work that well.
