Quote from BlizzardFueled by friendly competition and fun, the Grand Tournament is a marvelous event where the greatest heroes in the land put their mastery on display before adoring crowds. At the heart of every hero is a special something that gives them the power to rise above and achieve victory. Now those powers are poised to become even grander!
Today, we dive a little deeper into Hearthstone’s second expansion, The Grand Tournament, by taking a look at how cards from the upcoming set will interact with Hero Powers with the addition of our brand-new game mechanic and keyword—Inspire.
Hero Powers are the manifestation of heroic prowess and play a major role in The Grand Tournament. Many of the valiant minions who will be joining your cause with this expansion have a knack for meddling with Hero Powers, making some stronger, some weaker, and changing some around entirely! One minion even lets you use your Hero Power multiple times per turn!
Giants are a pretty regular sight in the Tavern—when they’re not on the board bringing the hurt, they enjoy quiet nights with friends by the hearth, just the same as you or I. The Grand Tournament introduces a new giant to the fray, one with a slightly frostier disposition. Don’t let his appearance fool you, though. Frost Giant may look like a cold character, but use your Hero Power enough and he’ll warm up to you quickly!
What’s better than a Hero Power? A BETTER Hero Power, of course! Justicar Trueheart will supercharge your classic Hero Powers to mighty new heights. Imagine blasting an enemy with Heal for four damage (with the aid of an Auchenai Soulpriest), or summoning exactly the totem you need, just when you need it, with Totemic Slam!
Hero Powers have always been a cornerstone of the Hearthstone experience. The Grand Tournament introduces exciting new ways to bolster and change them that will make Hero Powers more heroic than ever.

Battlecry: Replace both heropowers with "Do Nothing".
From the post:
Let's hope for the card that turns Steady Shot into Steady Heal, Heal your opponent's Hero for 2. :p
what if i use Justicar Trueheart with lord jaraxxus??
I think you will overwrite jaraxxus's hero power, wich would be a bad move because 2 mana 6-6 is by far the most powerfull heropower.
Justicar Trueheart only affects the 9 basic Hero Powers. The following Hero Powers: Jaraxxus, Ragnaros and Shadowform won't be affected when this minion comes into play.
Shamans are now able to stack totems (Play a 0/2 Stoneclaw Totem when there already is one on the board for example)!

Does the Shaman one include collectible totem cards as well? So you can summon Flamtounges and the 2 mana 3/4 thing? If so it's outrageous. OP as fuck. Imagine summoning a 3/4 every single turn for 2 mana.
Only the four basic totems :)
Alright. Probably balanced that way. 2 mana hero power that summons a 3/4 would just be out of this world and not very fair
Cool design and concept like most legendaries. Fairly poor execution. This will be auto-include in control Warrior. In fact, I think it's completely over-powered in control Warrior decks. Priests will make use of this. A deck has to be built around it for Priest, but I think it can be really effective. I think interesting concept decks could be built around it for Paladin, Rogue, Warlock, and Druid, but it's likely too big of a negative tempo swing to be effective, let alone better than current meta strategies. Way too slow and impotent for already slow shaman. It really highlights how bad Shaman's hero power is relative to the other classes. Irrelevant for Mage (which already has better class specific hero power buffs coming its way) and Hunter (hero power would have to be used twice to make up for a turn where you didn't use it in order to play a 6 mana creature that isn't Savannah Highmane).
I think Warrior and Priest should only be +1. 4 armor every turn is ridiculous tempo. Especially since it's a permanent upgrade.
Nooo realy 4 heal for priests and only 3 DMG face for hunters ? Are you kiding me ? Every priest with this card will 88% win game ...
if its face hunter, probably not
So you switch out the moltens for frost giants. ;)
Molten, obviously, depending on other new cards and Inspire effects.
Molten Gianjt does not burn anything either.
we need more survivability cards like cheaper healbots or alike ...
Why so much hate for Hunter? Everybody else gets its power doubled, and Warlock doesn't even lose life (he should lose 1 life at least), but Hunter gets the lower end of the stick?
And Shaman, which is a really underpowered class with the awful Overload mechanic, gets the worst Hero Power "boost" of them all. It's totems should have doubled stats as well...
Mage seems a bit overpowered, with a Hero power change, the minion that boosts the HP damage, 3 damage for 2 mana... and maybe use it several times a turn...
Oh, blizzard...
Does Totemic Slam allow you to summon a totem that's already on the board? If so, totem shaman might just be possible with these new cards, looking forward to trying it out.
Edit: Now we know it does, good to see a card that reduces shaman RNG rather than increase it.
First reaction: WOW! Possible game changer! Control decks will profit the most I think, which is a great thing (I'd love another control-like meta).
