Patchnotes Coming Thursday - Changes to Theotar, Wildseeds and Harpoon Gun Teased
The Patchnotes are coming...on Thursday! It's unclear what might be in the patch, but a few balance changes were teased already.
Quote from BlizzardPatch Notes are coming this Thursday!
Look forward to updates on cards like Theotar, the Mad Duke, Stag Spirit Wildseed, Bear Spirit Wildseed, and Harpoon Gun
seems like they dont care for shit for wild
They don’t make their money on wild. Wild is there for a reason, do you know how much of a mess it would be to try and balance wild format? Think of standard and how wild has over 4x as many cards. At least that much harder.
What hearthstone needs to do mainly is make a deeper wild, the game has bean going for long enough.
They look at Wild like once every quarter like around beginning of new expansion..
And not a single nerf to Big Priest in Wild. Just ban Neptulon already...
Frankly what id do manly is make the hands 6/1 get rid of the amen and make neptuleunes ability not work on the hero, also make him a 5/8 or something.
Nerfing Theotar without nerfing Denathrius is a mistake. Theotar is very common because Denathrius is very common.
No need to nerf Denathrius. Theotar isn't played just because Denathrius is played. Common misconception. Theotar can do a lot more for a player than just steal a Denathrius.
Theotar may be useful in a wide array of situations but he is often the only counter-play to a game ending Denathrius. It's hard for a lot of decks keep enough pressure on druid decks that will otherwise just OTK you with Brann/Denathrius.
Theotar would still be common if quest decks were viable. Being able to steal the quest reward is a game ender.
Seconded. His effect needs to be changed to something less broken. Or make him cost 8 mana or something outrageous. Outrageous effects should have outrageous costs.
Theotar would be very common anyway, but yes. It took way too long to nerf Kazakusan and now we've got the same problem all over again with Denathrius. He's already in about half of the top 10 best decks and will inevitably become even stronger with Theotar nerfed.
