Didn't expect anything less than a dumb response from another HS player. Based on your post history this is just how you are, which is a big yikes to me. Good riddance.
How does that absolve Blizzard of responsibility for clear design mistakes? If designing the set years in advance leads to imbalanced metas and unhappy players, maybe they shouldn't be doing it that way.
because that's the design philosophy of HS. It's already known that it's warrior and paladin's time to be at the bottom, so they were not going to give them anything too good.
Granted Paladin might be in a much better place with these cards (and enrage warrior will greatly benefit from the weapon card) but I don't think these 2 classes will get their turn on top again until the after the next full rotation.
Think of it this way, if paladin was the best, everyone would run weapon removal which would make it suck to play. Paladin (with the Cariel hero card being the best thing they have) is actually better being a niche class right now, they'd suffer more if everyone was playing them because everyone would run Viper.
I actually think this was a calculated choice to keep Weapon removal out of standard, as it would hurt a lot of decks.
Also Pirate warrior was a real problem not long ago, they had to clip warriors wings (or so I heard, I was on a break at the time)
This being said, I'm still enjoying playing both classes. I really like enrage warrior, and I think the weapon draw card is a very welcome addition. I don't like playing the most broken stuff all of the time as it feels cheap, I like to play under dog decks and still win with them, then I feel a sense of accomplishment a lot of players feel this way, and that's why there always must be lower power levels classes in game.
Not to mention it's the only way bad players can win. if all classes had ultra-busted stuff, they'd never win because they need to play OP against terrible, LoL.
That is true, but it's also true that they limit the power of certain classes on purpose. this is on rotation and there is always going to be one class that is way worse than the others... even though cards are designed well in advance, they also plan for this ahead of time, and if things don't go the way they planned, they just nerf the class into the ground (like what they did with warrior)
I think paladin was a bit different as with pally being on top, weapon removal would be everywhere and this would just ruin paladin anyway as they really relied on Cariel... I honestly think that by keeping paladin a more niche class right now, it saves them from the weapon removal spam they'd have faced otherwise.
Think about it though, weapon removal would completely ruin paladin. and maybe they just didn't want weapon removal to be prevalent as it would mess up some other decks too. enrage warrior also would be absolute dumpster juice if people were running weapon removal. I think the choice to have these two classes at the bottom was a calculated one.
I love playing both of these classes as well, and I honestly don't mind it. I still really enjoy enrage warrior despite it being like a 5 year old deck in terms of what it can do when compared to the top tier decks, but I enjoy it. (always been a fan of low health/high damage builds. I was a Moon Knight main in Marvel Heroes)
6 mana 5/4 not very good stateline
BUT!
u discover card for choosen pool(deathraffle) so u kinda can choose what u want to always pick (someone below me already show possible combo deathraffle with this[but there is more good agony: Owl,Stoneboarn General])
u trigger that ( Nine Lives )
and then u get this agony on this card.
So for 6 mana u get 5/4 body, with adding card to hand, triggering choosen agony and putting again that agony on board.
I think that card can be pretty strong if not bullshit strong.
Kinda boring card design tbh… and it’s not like Hunter needs more help to be competitive or more archetypes atm..
So they should just not make new Hunter cards at all? Or only make Hunter cards that are bad but interesting?
This card is not even interesting lol it's the same Deathrattle card idea over the year that never worked out... both un-interesting and bad...
Weird wording, why "trigger and gain its deathrattle" instead of "gain and trigger its deathrattle" it almost sounds like it would trigger it once then gain it a second time
It does trigger the deathrattle a second time, when it dies...
It's written correctly. The card coming into play isn't being triggered the DR on the discovery is. This is consistent with previous cards with the same effect. Don't let the addition if the body confuse you.
It's worded that way so instead of going Dormant off of Ratking. You get a Dormant ratking and a 5/4 body with go Dormant summon a 2nd Ratking. So much better eh?
You don’t get a the rat king. Nowhere on the the rat kings death rattle does it say summon a the rat king
The dormant minion "is" a Ratking as already demonstrated.
Dormant DRs have historically always been the minion with dormant, even when copied.
Hm didnt know that.
where is this demonstrated?
feel like we have seen this effect at least 3 times now, in various forms.
What deathrattles are even good for hunter in standard right now?
Mountain Bear, a card that's really only good because of the Harpoon Gun
Taelan Fordring, a card that requires a payoff
Azsharan Saber, a card that requires dredge setups or Pet Collector
The Rat King, a card that is just seeing play again because of 40 cards being an option.
Maybe Imported Tarantula can see some value with this as that's a pretty decent tempo swing, its just so slow to get it online
Unpopular opinion: Nathanos was always the more fun bad guy compared to Sylvanas.
Glad he has his spot in HS at last.
always the cringe stats
That voiceline is amazing.
Thats bad.
Yeah, no hunter ever won by creating extra Rat Kings.
If you choose Rat King when you play this, it'll go Dormant right away. That's a 6 Mana go Dormant do nothing card.
