It's crazy how many people are saying afterlife attendant could be a good card. It's garbage. The only time it could be somewhat effective is if you already have a board to suicide your minions the turn you play it. Otherwise it gets removed before it gets any value or your opponent ignores it for a turn or two because it's really not that strong of an effect anyway. You would almost never feel good about playing it on curve. People will try it when expansion releases, realize it's terrible, then it never sees play again.
The other two cards also won't see play, obviously. Soul seeker can be good, but it's only gonna be for meme decks since it will often not be good at all.
You're forgetting about 1/1 rush minions and how powerful infusing your Sire Denathrius in deck is.
I present exhibit A....Druid.
Drop this minion and follow up with Scales.
People downvoting this look like they genuinely haven't ever played against druid.
By the time druid has cards in hands that are good to infuse Sire, they'll have it tutored out as well via Coldtooth Mine.
Especially now that some people might consider playing Soul Seeker, it's completely pointless to leave Sire in your deck on purpose, and the odds of not drawing either Coldtooth Mines or Sire himself by turn 5-6-7 (or getting a copy via Moonlit Guidance) are insanely low.
The only deck I could see this MAYBE being played is quest priest, where it could help the 3-spot with a reasonable body + MAYBE help with infusing The Light! It burns! so it's ready to go when it's drawn (or at least closer to it)
Seriously anyone downvoting me has no idea how to anticipate meta cards. I hope everyone I play against runs these cards, but they won't because nobody in legend would be that dumb.
I’m all for situational cards if they’re unique and interesting. There probably won’t be a Secret deck popular enough to run Tight-Lipped Witness, but I still like that they made it.
Afterlife Attendant is actually really great.
easy two-of even to actually make Infuse cards finally really viable. Most of the times top decking into one of these huge Infuse cards means they are absolute trash tier useless, but now thanks to this you'll already draw into the infused version. this is a much needed upgrade.
5 Stars card (if effect is permanent)
Tight-Lipped Witness: What the hell ? Absolute Junk, nobody even runs minions to destroy Secrets.
1 Star (would be 0 Stars but the Vanilla stats are "ok")
Soul Seeker: seems way too situational, mostly only viable against Big decks, this would have been a excellent card if it would replace a minion from Opponent's hand. But as it is here ...
1 Star
The Secret card is probably meant to also be used as secret support. For example alongside Halkias so that he would have secret to "fuse into"
But It's bad in both scenarios anyway
I can assure you Afterlife Attendant is an aura, not permanent
well if it's Aura then its complete garbage obviously.
afterlife attendant obviously good in infuse heavy decks.
The other 2 are too specific tech cards, will never see any play.
And no soul seeker is not even close to being a counter to big priest, by turn 5 they've already summoned Neptulon and ready to resurrect it. That's assuming you have it in your hand by turn 5 and that's your best play, aka never.
First the Jailer and now these? Is r/customhearthstone leaking into the game or something?
They look spicy but none of these are really any good.
Maybe the worst anti-secret tech card we've seen during a time where secrets aren't an issue. Pointless infuse support when infuse cards are largely irrelevant outside of denathrius, and easy to infuse enough when they're in hand anyway. Seems like soul seeker was made just because big priest is an issue in wild... except big priest fucks you over way before turn 5, and there are better ways to deal with the deck through transformation effects. It's horrible against everything else too.
Soul Seeker = addition to disruption toolkit in Wild, possibly a high risk high reward type of card like Dirty Rat
No one's going to play it in wild. It doesn't fit in Infinite turn Mage, Pirate Rogue, or even shaman. Shudderwok won't want their shudder getting put into the opponent's deck. Sire Druid has no use for it.
The only deck that could see it is some of the different versions of warlock or highland paladin, but even then 5 mana is a lot of commit for a card that won't do jack against anything other than cancer priest, and cancer priest can easy go off turn 3-4.
Afterlife attendant will be interesting for decks with powerful infuse cards, beast hunter and relic dh may love that one!
I don't see any of these seeing play.
Tight-lipped is a trash anti-tech card that only temporarily shuts down the problem, and only a few archetypes even use secrets. There have been better anti-secret cards like eater and flare in the past.
Afterlife requires a board advantage in order to really use its effect. Infuse effects are usually easy enough to get off without running this card.
Soulseeker is garbage. 5 mana for the possibility of pulling a 1 mana minion. It's usually a 5 mana do nothing and get behind on board.
All three of these cards don't seem like they would be readily run. I do like the disruption of the soul seeker though. I am very curious how it interacts with double battlecry. Will it swap itself with a minion your your opponents deck and then swap into your deck?
None of these seem good. Secrets are not that strong, the infuse cards is unreliable, poor tempo and unnecessary, and the swapper is garbage against most decks.
this 5 mana minion is a great counter for cancer wild big priest
