Standard Balance Changes Coming Soon - Might Include Neutral Cards!
Blizzard dev Aleco tweeted Monday night that more Balance changes are on the horizon. Read his comments below.
Quote from BlizzardWe're going to be making some Standard balance adjustments soon. Next patch will likely be more nerf focused than the previous one and might include some neutral cards.
We'll be locking in our changes this Friday, and the patch will go live ~1 week after that.
I shir that fracshord in the artic valy whas way mor boring.
I uped your comment tho
u just talked talked and said nothing, thanks captain obvious.
And it's obvious that blizzard will keep things that way, lots of white knights...
And I think he will lose his lifesteal. Although that was not wat he was used for.
Let me guess, going to revert your stupid buff to Edwin? It should either be back to 4 mana or +1/+1
Other things that should be done:
Guff (Druid Themed Nerf)
CHOOSE ONE: 6 mana, OR Hero Power and Battlecry gives empty crystal
Brann removed from standard
Kael'Thas to 7 mana, and/or minion discounted to 1
Hunter Quest Second stage to 3 spells
Impending Catastrophe no longer has the bonus +1 card
Nightcloak Sanctum location to 2 uses (possibly change to 2 mana instead of 3 to compensate)
Dawngrasp to 8 mana
Brilliant Macaw changed to only copy the last battlecry this turn. (Or just bury this card)
Do something to help Demon Hunter
I'm guessing since they'll refuse to admit Brann in standard was a mistake or address the actual problems of having more than 10 mana or Macaw, they will nerf Sire Denathrius instead, because when they do that they don't have to give refunds to anyone.
very cringe list...should be straight to salt thread
Dawngrasp hero power is problem, making him 8 mana doesn't change anything.
Nightcloak sanctum 3 mana 2 durability (even this OP) you getting 2 x 2/2 body which deals 2 damage and freeze for 3 mana, this card problematic maybe 4 mana 2 durability or change skeletons stats/deathrattle idk.
The more I think about Hero cards and the more I feel they should all have the same design philosophy : Strong Battlecry + Okay HP. Also I'm already tired of the skeleton mage but I guess I will have to live with it for 2 years.
4/4 - destroy a location - easy fix
The unplayable epic minion / tech card that is both expensive for its effect and understated ? :)
I was not even thinking about the location, but about the skeleton package in general.
Without location is an easy deck. Skeleton location has 3 uses and 3 freezes. Legend player here since beta.
4/4 for 4 mana is good tech card, there were worse tech cards and ppl used anyway.
Just nerf Dawngrasps Hero Power and/or Reckless Apprentice and everything would be fine.
This Combo is just ridiculously overpowered.
Wonder what is getting nerfed. I know people are calling for guff and dawny g, also edwin.
I honestly have no opinion, I'd be happy if they left things as is, and just buffed things up again to raise the overall power level.
I have a golden Dawngrasp, so if they do nerf her I can cash in and get 2 x legendary cards. if she is still playable I can craft her again.
If it is neutral card, its obvious sir D that is getting nerfed. He will probably lose his basic "deal 5".
yeah, could be.
I don't want to call anything though and jinx it, ha ha.
Will just wait and see what happens, and hope nothing hits my decks too hard. Definitely not crafting anything that isn't for the lower tier decks right now though.
I think I might get the Minion Rokara and 2 x Riot and 2 x Burden of Pride to try out some warrior stuff (might get the quest as well) Just got a Golden olgra the other day, been dying to use it and the new Legendary weapon minion for Warrior.
(returning player though, so missing both of the Rokara cards, either one or the other, or both in some cases are in all warrior decks, so probably should just craft them)
Also just missing the Quest and 1 x Promotion to get some Dude/Quest Paladin going. They both look like fun decks, even if not the highest winrates, or tier. (really hoping pure Paladin gets some more love as well, as the baroness would be amazing in a better deck IMO)
TBH though I'm must enjoying playing my Infuse Hunter right now. I'm trying to do the quest to unlock the Ambassador Caelin card, so playing a deck with a Colossal in it is a must.
What Deck(s) you playing?
