Standard Balance Changes Coming Soon - Might Include Neutral Cards!
Blizzard dev Aleco tweeted Monday night that more Balance changes are on the horizon. Read his comments below.
Quote from BlizzardWe're going to be making some Standard balance adjustments soon. Next patch will likely be more nerf focused than the previous one and might include some neutral cards.
We'll be locking in our changes this Friday, and the patch will go live ~1 week after that.
can't wait to see 1 meta card slightly nerfed among some fillers
Please make Denathrius Infuse (2). It’s super annoying when a deck’s entire win condition is Run Renathal and Acquire the Sire. It should feel more like a big swing rather than eventually one card lethal.
Dude, that's exactly why Theotar, Mutanus and all the other distruption card exist. I don't think Denathrius nerf is needed.
I'd rather see Denathrius only target minions. A full heal, clear and a 10/10 lifesteal is still amazing.
Fair enough
nerf them all!
They should add tradable to that card, to start with, in order to make it remotely playable...
still has standard status and is a tech card. In the past (recent too) tech cards was almost unplayable but still they were in the deck.
Another announcement of the announcement by Bli$$ard. Standard sucks anyway, no one cares.
While i enjoyed the DH buffs, i kind of stopped playing anyway because i only queue into Mage and Druid. Variety (at least perceived by myself) feels super low. Not really fun.
+ Dawngrasp is extremely unfun to play against.
Dawngrasp should get the hero power nerfed to 1 damage and 1 damage scaling, i just had a game when i had like 60 armor and this stupid hero chipped thru me like nothing just by pinging me every turn for 12. Youre just screwed if u havent won by the time its played
No balance on Wild?? We need a nerf to Big Priest for example... Neptulon is such a disgusting card.
Think! Illuminati is the big issue.. And Neptulon is also a standard card.
nerf: Illuminati: Dredge.. only this turn!
so... balance changes will be delivered in 2 weeks ?? That's kinda late ngl... those nerfs are needed NOW... damn what they are waiting for ?
Anyways, another dust payday on the way. Them nerfing neutral cards only means three things, Brann, Kael'thas, or Denathrius. The issue with Denathrius is that his design space is so tight that he either becomes complete ass or gets a whole rework. If he's sent to Endlessly Infuse: (2) he probably won't even be played by Druid. If Guff does get hit this time around, I hope he gets reverted when he's rotated. Tired of good cards and decks in Wild going in the mud because of Standard.
Better yet, make two fucking versions of cards: one Standard, one Wild. Any format using Wild cards would use the Wild version of said card. I know they don't buff anything for Wild, but that could also be a thing if that's implemented. No, it wouldn't be confusing for newer players because Wild isn't even intended for them. (and Classic version of cards are already a thing. This isn't anything new.)
This. A deck will get a minor nerf and thousands of people drop it suddenly, making it flop in HSReplay and nobody hears about it again even though the deck is still fine. Sometimes I wonder how ladder would look like if no site or content creator published deck lists online. >80% of people in Legend wouldn't even be there.
Anything that gets nerfed a lot gets dropped like a brick imo. People always play whatever HSreplay tells them to play.
My first that when I red your comment was why not just nerf everything, problem is that would entirely change the game.
This season came straight from their playbook - launch broken shit - nerf broken shit - fuck with the player economy - profit
As opposed to: launch boring/bad shit - bored players complain they paid money for it - bored players leave and won't come back?
Yes, the new releases are always a bit more to keep the hype and with a fresh meta things need to settle. On top, players will complain anyway. Either because things are too strong or because things are too weak.
The main point is that things that are too strong will be played and will be played in the future. Things that are too weak on the other hand will keep that reputation for quite a while.
