4 Mana 7-7 even in a blank Vanilla state without this downside doesn't cut it anymore. This ain't 2015.
Given the Downside, this is certainly more than appropiately ONEEEEEEEE Star
Go troll somewhere else. This is bonkers. And there are already multiple ways to cheat this out.
LOL, we've seen 4 Mana 7-7 which weren't legendarys, but COMMON.
This is just garbage Trash that does nothing, and WORST OF ALL even removes your Hand.
Yea it's almost like that Murloc that swaps your Hand with the bottom of your Deck xD Just better Stats.
Could IN THEORY be useful, ONLY if you have exactly one card at hand, or it's your last card. But this isn't Hunter, it's for Demon Hunter, and with the Card Draw this class has, you'd never want to be empty handed and to pray to draw into a One-Of Lego
Highly inconsistent and too situational.
Did you just said that this card is practically Sir Finley, Sea Guide, a card that is primarily characterized by not being a 4-Mana 7/7 that discards your hand and draws 3 cards?
yea, you're right, my bad !
How dare I insulted good ole Finley, it's way worse since you don't even swap your Hand, you Discard aka LOSE your cards. (Permanently)
That Evolve Shaman High Roll Though
I also just realized that you could cheat this out with the Quilboars if you really wanted to.
Discard DH meta
Dump all your cards in 3 turns by going full aggro>draw this on turn 4>play a 7/7 card that refuels you>go aggro again.
Neat.
Why don't people realize this card is perfect to just throw into an aggro face deck? Only reason this card isn't the most broken card they've ever printed is because it's a legendary and in those sorts of aggressive decks, you don't tend to draw many cards and you can't reliably get it in your opener. This is Flamewreathed Faceless with an upside instead of overload 2 lol.
Deathrattle DH potential is worth considering, otherwise its pretty mediocre to bad.
Alright deck intro time
if I haven’t seen the new glaive I’d say this card is maybe a high risk for a maybe not so good reward, now it makes sense
This card in an expansion where evolve is reintroduced. Just wow, I can feel the pain already...
Illidan Stormrage in its former glory (almost)
Edit : Of course they are different for the cost and symmetric effect, but this version of Illidan is a clear inspiration in that Illidan is a demon hunter and both the stats and the discard/draw mechanic are similar.
Risk and reward or just risk?
But what about if you play this card AFTER playing the cards in your hand.
In an Aggro Deck you're always going to draw more cards that the cards that you discarded. Play this, it dies, you draw 3 for 4 Mana and with the aditional effect that you're opponents has to spend at least one resource to kill it. Basically a 4-Cost spell "Draw 3. Your opponent discard a card". If is silenced you still have a 7/7, you're still and aggro deck you hit face. Or just play Magnifying Glaive on turn 3, this on turn 4, then you attack, refill your hand. Pim pam pum, truki truki.
If you really like your hand, you don't play this, summon it with Death Speaker Blackthorn, Razorfen Beastmaster, Proving Grounds, Evolve Shaman.
The card is far from be a meme. It only has a downside if you put it in the wrong deck. It's like saying that Bloodreaver Gul'dan is a bad card cause can summon a Howlfiend. Well, maybe THAT's not the problem there.
Comparing this minion to a spell of the same effect is inaccurate. A minion could get silenced, as you said, but also transformed by cards such as Devolve, Primordial Wave, or Devolving Missiles. This would be very bad if you played it from hand and discarded even one or two cards. It could get Saped, be taken off of your board by Drown or Psychic Scream, copied by the opponent, or stolen to their side of the board.
Otherwise, I agree that it could be very strong in the right deck, it's a huge tempo play that will probably draw you cards. It can even single-handedly win you the game if your opponent doesn't have an early answer for it.
Terrible. If you play it on turn 4 you run a high risk of getting frozen/silenced/whatever, and a flat 7/7 isn't as strong as it used to be. You could play it when your hand is already empty but then you can't run any expensive cards like Jace or you'd risk losing them.
This is an aggro or tempo-midrange card, so I'm not sure why you are thinking about Jace.
Tuskpiercer is the Capture Coldtooth Mine to this card in any normal aggro deck, top it off with another reload card Magnifying Glaive
Is this really something DH was lacking? Is this more manageable because the stats are fewer than previous Drek'Thar?
