Sketchy Stranger good in quest priest to discover mage's (3)'s ))
Serrated Bone Spike is a WANTED! on steroid
Turn 1 going second , coin + Preparation + Serrated Bone Spike + Necrolord Draka = Pog?
you lost
WHAT? This is amazing! The power level here is way high, many of these deserved their own separate reveal:
Serrated Bone Spike is busted. The fact it discounts ANY card is ridiculous, autoinclude in every rogue deck until it rotates.
Bibliomite can fit in any aggressive DH list just fine. Not only does DH have draws for days to mitigate it, you can use it to manipulate effects like outcast/Caria Felsoul or any shenanigans that require you to not draw specific cards too early. Love it.
All 3 hunter cards are great and will see play in a new face hunter list, no doubt.
Forensic Duster is the set sleeper. Team 5 is doing all they can to make the board relevant again, so a Cult Neophyte for minions is certainly finding a home in many decks, specially slower ones who wish to fend off aggro. Probably gonna see a nerf down the line, premium stats for such a powerful effect on a neutral is just nuts.
Muckborn Servant is good in slow paladin lists, not sure how viable holy paladin will be, but if it is then this will see play there.
The rest goes from meh to unplayable. Still a lot of insane cards that didnt quite get a highlight. Was a bit worried about the set overall quality, not anymore.
Love that they decided to attach the new beast summons to the hunter rare, rather than their legendary
Since they activate 1/2/3 turns later, that would be so, so bad.
Maze Guide: Random and low impact so bad
Natural Causes: Fair, but standard cant play fair cards
Bog Beast: Sludge Belcher for 1 more mana with better stats, good in 2014 not good now
Muckborne Servant: Wide variance on the Discover, but if infuse paladin is a thing, this is decently curved with a cycle effect
Batty Guest: These "DR: get a better minion" cards have been around forever, however this one very good for aggro hunter. if Face becomes place again, I can see this fitting in.
Frenzied Fangs: The Infuse time cost is a bit too steep I think, but an optimal situation where you can get 2 3/3s for 3 isn't the worst in the world. Its still not worth the space in constructed.
Forensic Duster: Its like Cult Neophyte, though I don't think its as impactful, however, if swarm paladin (or any wide archetype) becomes a thing this will be a good tech option to delay for a board clear or regain board presence.
Sketchy Stranger: Secrets arent good right now, so this isn't that good.
Sinrunner: Arena card with very little impact on play, its a winmore
Spirit Poacher: The Variance kind of sucks, and its delayed impact stinks too. None of the spawns are really that aggro friendly (outside the stag but 3 turns of waiting), I don't see it fitting in any constructed
Famished Fool: This is the infuse card that people have been waiting for, its the Gorloc Ravager for any minion-centered deck. I think it also could be good in any warlock.
Bibliomite: a 2 mana 4/4 that's drawback can be a boon when you have a situation where a high-cost card is bricking your outcast. DH has enough draw and cycle to make this drawback negligible even in situations where its not. Sure its a negative 1 card on paper, but it has a lot of decent applications for a 3.5 mana costed vanilla card for 2.
Serrated Bone Spike: Prolly the best card of this bunch, will definitely see play in any rogue tempo build.
Suspicious Alchemist: Seems every class is going to get one of these (priest got one with guessing a legendary), stat line is good for cost but I think it might be an easier guess for your opponent.
Maze Guide will be used for either Infuse or Shaman evolve decks. I think it will be the latter. Druids might get some support to token decks so it will also be considered there maybe.
I think Bibliomite drawback is just too severe to see play. Warlocks had natural card draw with the hero power and they never played
SuccubusFelstalkerThe Maze Guide argument is probably correct, you are on average going to be getting a 2/2 with high rolls for tol'vir. The only comparable standard card is Murloc Tidehunter which is 3/2 of stats for 2, so you are getting a better deal most of the time.
For Bibliomite comparison isn't comparable for 2 reasons:
1) Discard is worse than shuffle back
2) Discard was random, this is controlled.
The potential to unclog your outcast flow early makes it better than felstalker
But what do I know, Im getting a negative score on my comment for giving an unsalty take on the presented cards. I must be wrong
You are still losing a card in the end with Bibliomite. Outcast hasn't been that relevant in Demon Hunter as of late. Sure you aren't discarding a card but shuffling it back into the deck but playing the game with 30 cards or 29 cards in deck doesn't matter (after game starts). What matters is playing the game with 1 card less than your opponent. Patches the Pirate is an example where your deck is 29 cards essentially. The difference is that you know what your 30th card is and it comes into play along another card.
I think you are getting downvoted generally because the card links in your comments are broken. I think you made the comment before the links were ready so this is why they appear broken. Don't worry about it
I guess it will be up in the air, I'm just basing it on my experience with Fel DH this expansion how Spectral Sight is constantly getting blocked by Xhilag of the Abyss or something else big that I don't need on turn 2 or 3.
DH's ability to cycle thru its options makes me feel it's just a lot less relevant to go negative 1 than in other classes.
Updated profile pic if anyone wants it:
Serrated Bone Spike will be an auto-include in every Rogue deck then...
Spirit Poacher seems preeeetty good.
The variance is too high....it's too inconsistent for use I think
You could be right -- but all three outcomes seem pretty good. And the high end is reeeally high.
I do think the dormant phase might end up making it too slow to see a lot of play.
Bibliomite: Finally, a card to shuffle Xhilag back into my deck when I draw him right before Caria Felsoul /s
Sinrunner just seems to be a more expensive/higher statted Spider Bomb, but without the helpful magnetic tag... And lets face it, you want the dang thing to die quickly for its deathrattle. 3 more HP and no magnetic tag and you can guarantee this is either getting silenced or tactically removed before it does much good. Arena could obviously be different though.
You can't expect neutral cards to be as good as class cards.
