The cards look good, but I just see the archetype for those right now.
Right, just what we needed, Quest Hunter support.
not sure about the standard meta quest hunter but I would say quest hunter would not want a 3 cost spell that cannot go face and hits minions at random
I assume they were referring to the Ancient Krakenbane and I agree because it does seem like a strong support for Queest Hunter. It doesn't progress the quest by itself, but that's an additional 10 damage for just playing spells, which you would do anyway.
ooh right. maybe. I am so locked on only looking for damage spell did not even thought about that :D
but I still think that wont be played either :P
At this point, any new hunt damage card is a quest hunter support. And that's a big problem for design space.
I think it should just be considered a potential high roll for some aggro deck, but you'd probably be better off just playing naga/spell synergy :)
Initially seems weak
Quest support? what card in the deck you want to change for that spell? it is so bad... omg
Does it work like 3-2-1 or 3-2? big difference
Looks like 3-2-1 to me. And with spell damage, it's 4-3-2-1, right?
Not everything has to be about the "face" questline hunter. The spell is something that can be combined with Urchin Spines. There's a significant gap in the hunter toolkit since Bola Shot rotated. Honestly, I was hoping for some kind of AoE spell. I don't know if this exactly fills that gap; would love if it actually goes 3-2-1.
[Added: The fact that it's a nature-school spell isn't irrelevant.]
yeah with spines its pretty good.
Should've called it Recursive Shot.
3/3, deal 5 damage...that's a lot for 3 mana. Probably can't play it on curve very often though.
Brann plus a couple of these is a solid 20 face damage for 9 mana.
in face deck you can't play until 9 mana, 3 dead cards in hand
Right, it's for a combo deck or a finisher on a midrange deck. But a 20 damage combo for 9 mana that leaves a 2/4 and two 3/3's is not bad. It's not a OTK, but in Hunter, you've probably done some damage along the way. It can also be used for clear if you need it for that.
