Artwork of the newly revealed cards
Mini-set Legendaries:
- Darkmoon Races: Dual Mage/Rogue, Warlock, Priest, Neutral
- Wailing Caverns: Neutral, Neutral, Druid, Warrior
- Deadmines: Neutral, Neutral, Shaman, Rogue
- Onyxia's Lair: Neutral, Neutral, Mage, Priest
Priest is the class with most legendary support from mini-set, but unfortunately, they all suck...
DH, Hunter, and Paladin are the 3 classes that never got any legendaries from a mini-set.. so it is possible they are getting something..
Or they are feeling bad about Priest as to give another terrible legendary for the class to make it feel better..
Seems kinda unlikely. It just doesn't fit any of the potential legendaries for DH or Hunter or especially Paladin to get one. But really I don't think Mi'da is bad. I don't actually remember what the Darkmoon Faire one is.
Okay, yeah, so it was the first Old God boss as a Warlock legendary.
Based on the reveal schedule. Naz'jar is a Mage or Priest Legendary probably. My guess is Priest, though I'm not sure that fits really she's a Sea Witch.
Okay, guess it was Lady Naz'jar as a Mage Legendary.
No trailer?
Hate it? You mean play it. Big 1 mana body looking to be silenced.
Why on Azeroth would you waste silence on a Bubbler instead of just playing a better minion?
The Neptulon vs Ozumat art reminds me that we never had a proper conclusion of the Throne of Tides ending and they scrapped an entire underwater raid that was supposed to clear things up.
What's even crazier to me is the include him in BFA but just have him chill there, cucking us again.
I haven't seen a quest hunter in ages.
Constrictor seems very interesting, but I wonder if the limitation of looking at 3 cards is too much. The best use case is against slow decks for denying removal and combo turns, but these decks often have large hands so you may whiff a lot. There's also really stiff competition at 4 mana right now. Could make it into a tempo-midrange deck.
Bubbler could be worthless or insane depending on the meta.
Snapdragon is probably too slow. I could see a use case in Shaman with all of the battlecries that class has, but the problem is that it takes several turns to become worth the tempo loss, making it nearly useless unless played on curve.
Pretty surprised that they are going to launch it on a Wednesday.... usually content patches are only out on either Tuesday or Thursday...
I guess they want to make sure that we can experience the new meta/cards in the new month of ladder.
Does this mini-set seem to be released quicker than other mini-sets or is that just me - I feel like they knew Sunken was not really a popular expansion and quickened the mini-set. Either that or it just seems like a moneygrab, like they could have just released all these cards together with Sunken, /tinfoilhat.
The Sunken expansion was actually delayed and released later than the usual dates of first expansion of the year. It was released on April 12th while usually it should have been released in first week of April. That made the Fractured expansion meta last longer than usual (more than 4 months long). If they want to keep up with their content release schedule for the rest of the year (2nd expansion in early August and 3rd expansion in early December), it is the right time for the mini-set.
Oh okay awesome, thanks for the reply and the research into it, I suppose I could have checked release dates and timing but was too lazy, appreciate it.
Colossal minions, plural? Nice! Colossal is the coolest keyword in a while IMO.
I agree. They really boosted the viability for expensive minions
Mage, Rogue, Demon Hunter, Druid and to a lesser extent (simply because the minions needs to live) Paladin and Shaman can kill it using hero powers.
coilfang constrictor may be good enough to be played vs quest hunter and delay tavish to be played
Coilfang Constrictor is going to be very interesting against combo decks.
EDIT: honestly even against non-combo decks, getting 3 cards of knowledge AND preventing a card from being played, while not getting bad stats on board? That's pretty nice.
