As is tradition, the next expansion / "half-expansion" (or whatever they're calling the mid-expansion bonus thing) is coming up soon, so Bliz wants to be sure people waste on their gold on some absolute garbage so they'll have to pay real money to afford the new cards.

The last one happened September 23, 2020. And even then there have only been 5 total. 

No, you're right.  They announce the miniset within DAYS of releasing this gold sinking turd.

Worst brawl in the history of the game the devs are smoking some good shit whoever made this shit brawl should be fired 

Get rid of this garbage.  You don't break even at 3 wins.  It's like they're just spitting in the player's face.

It's even worse than that - dust is much worse than gold, and midway through an expansion most players would much rather keep 100g in the bank rather than open a pack.

So, you're looking at more like 6 wins to break even in terms of real value for 1000g

The rewards are so stacked to the top end it's just not worth thinking about unless you reckon you've got a shot at getting 11 or 12 wins.  This compounds the problem even more, as it means that weaker players will be rightfully put off.

I know it's worse, but any mode where you don't break even at 3 wins is a scam, the average result is 3 wins (actually slightly less!) and you also invested time - so you better get a net gain on average (like you used to in arena) or the mode is a scam.

Is there any compensation if a run expires?

 Yeah I feel you, cost is too high and rewards are not worth it for a majority of the players. You need 5 wins to break even, ridiculous. However, you only need one perfected deck to play in it. So if you use your homebrew instead of any tier 1 deck, it's your fault a bit too.

Read the reward chart.  3 or 4 wins you don't even break even.  This is a scam.

Some people think that D5 to Legend is where the real meta is at, because the desire to win is so great... naw, the only thing on the line there is "time".

Herioc Brawliseum is where you see the truest form of meta since money is on the line. Only the most efficient decks, with the widest possible chance of resisting any deck encountered. No cheese, no polarizing matchups - you can only lose three times, so if you are using the right deck then it was a very long mirror match that you almost won up until you lost that cost you your run.
