Year of the Phoenix Card Rotation - Notable Cards Rotating to Wild
With the introduction of Year of the Hydra there will also be another rotation of the older expansions. Ashes of Outland, Scholomance Academy, and Madness at the Darkmoon Faire will all be making the journey from Standard to Wild.
We’ve highlighted some more notable cards that will no longer be available in Standard. It is obviously not possible to showcase every card, but we hope that you see here a mix of both the temporary and long term great cards, as well as staple cards from various archetypes that shone during their time.
Be sure to let us know in the comments which cards were your personal favorites!
Ashes of Outland
Ashes of Outland saw the introduction of the Demon Hunter class, as well as the Prime Legendaries and the keyword Dormant. You can see the full rotating set here.

Scholomance Academy
School is in session! Scholomance Academy was the first Set to see the Spellburst keyword as well as the introduction of Dual-Class cards. The class legendaries for this set were also used as the main Heroes in the Duels game mode! You can see the full rotating set here.

Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
The Old Gods were omnipresent in the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire Set. Not only were they themselves part of the set so was the new keyword Corrupt.
This was also the first set that introduced a Mini-set as part of the card packs at a later point in the expansion's life, which is why this section is slightly bigger than the others! You can see the full rotating set here.

You’ve been weirdly downvoted for this. 100% agree. Tomorrow is the single best day of the year in hearthstone.
The w i l d b o y s are out there really not liking you disenchanting wild cards. I tend to agree though, no interest in wild.
yea disenchant and lose all the value being stuck in a single mode for the rest of your life repenting everytime you see a funny deck that is possible play only in wild
first im not interested in wild even a little, and second its not ur bussines what i play rofl
"being stuck in a single mode for the rest of your life"
im playing for killing boredom no because game is my life, u better stop being stuck in mothers house without job, interest in ur life anyway
judging your answer full of hate now i am sure that
1) you made a big mistake disenchanting your cards and are repenting and whining very very bad
2) you are full of problems and your life must be so fucked up that probably this game is the last of your problems
get help man you really need
ur mama need help after shower with me man
LOL
Notice cenarion ward, glowfly swarm and lunar/solar eclipse isn’t on the list either… yeah, that checks out.
Will there be a full dust refund for the cards removed from standard?
These are from normal expansions, so no.
Its a yearly event, 2 years old sets' rotation to wild happens every year, if you didnt know.
yes for 1/4 of their value if you disenchant them
will be there something like hall of fame or something? to handle kinda more dust?
No, HoF was discontinued with the introduction of the Core set.
thank u
Missing arbor up in that list. The card that single-handedly made token Druid relevant and kept it relevant without any nerfs.
I could have legit done a full section on Druid cards and none of them would have been a stretch to include. Had to include some other classes too.
Besides I figured EVERYONE would know that Arbor Up was rotating. xD
There is so many expansions out now so I don't know where all the cards belong anymore :P
Finally we can get back to fuck Priest now :=)
True, lmao.
