So now Warlock is supposed to be adding curses to their deck and curses to their hand and just what...stalling?
you can't add curses to your hand
???
This card gives a curse to the opponent's hand.
There is potentially also the forgotten aggressive Zoolock coming in a murloc costume.
But, tbf, it is nothing new that Warlocks have a long history of stalling and control decks.
So why did they plan this week long hiatus between the last card reveal and the final card dump? Seems so weird and near-sighted.
the final card dump and Core Set are revealed on Apr 5th, only about 5 days from now... it's not that bad tbh. We already saw all the legendaries except for Hunter Colossal..
It's a week. It's not terrible or anything, but it's just weird. They're usually better about planning this out.
Especially since after the final card dump they're going to have ANOTHER week until the set's actually out. (Which makes sense, I wanna know what I'm preordering, but it sort of combines into this 2 week long hiatus thing.)
Maybe because the colossal hunter will be a beautiful diamond when you get 25 legendaries?
I’m still confused. Can someone explain the curse cards as if I’m 5 years old.
You put a curse in your opponent's hand. The curse deals 1 damage. Your opponent can play the curse to end it. But after 2 turns, the curse disappears from your hand. The first *curse* in your hand deals 1 damage, the second deals 2, the third deals 3, the fourth deals 4, etc. etc.
I also have a hard time seeing these curses beating anything warlock already has....
But let's say that nobody wants to play the demon seed out of pure sportsmanship and rather go cursing to the max, running a slow control deck with curse of agony and the "unrevealed abyssal curse cards". With two possible hero cards and loads of removal/healing. That could still be a decent deck I think. Not better than demon seed or OwlTK, but still playable :)
Demon Seed and OwlTK are losing Backdraft. They're taking a huge hit.
Backfire is pretty big to lose true! OwlTK is actually losing a lot of important cards, so the deck will probably be half bad at best. I still think that the demon seed offers more consistent long term damage. Whichever strategy one choses, it's the same control tools that will carry the deck. If you can stall the game until fatigue, you can win without any support for the demon seed and there's still the no-deck package to stay alive.
Trash. Got to draw this before it even heals, Soul stuff is rotating, this is not the replacement.
I don't really understand the new curse mechanic yet, but from what I gather, it doesn't seem very good?
is basically fatigue on a card
Do those curse interact with the opponent "Spell Power"?
ok, but EACH CURSE - does that count Curse of Agony aswell?
No, it's just its own thing. Abyssal Curse only cares about Abyssal Curse.
I feel like this whole archetype will end up like watchposts in Barrons, You'll play a few of these cards since they're decent, but won't build your deck around them.
