What I am wondering is if this legendary is duplicate protected? If it isn't, might be better off waiting with pack buying and opening until after this reward is claimed to maximise the chance of getting a legendary from the new expansion (because at this point you will have none yet) and then proceed to open the new packs. It's a shame because I like the fireside gathering a few days before to open the new expansion packs from the pre-order but might hold fire on that unless someone can confirm it is duplicate protected.
Any card is duplicate protected once it enters your collection. Packs and drops etc. with any standard card will not give pre-released cards. Those cards are just not in the pool yet. Not because of duplicate protection thou, but the prerelease opened packs should still obey the rule.
Thank you, that makes sense. I might still wait with pack opening until after I claimed this prize. I still have a couple of legendaries I've not had in my collection, which won't rotate out, and which I would not be keen on getting such as Auctioneer Jaxon. If I have all legendaries from the new expansion still to be discovered it's more likely I will hit those instead of Jaxon. And then I can open my packs.
It's telling that Amazon is still more than happy to do business with a shittacular company like Actiblizz.
And people wonder why Bobby always gets away with it.
My greedy a** instantly hit the redeem button, only to get KELI’DAN THE BREAKER, a card from Ashes of Outland, a set that is going to rotate out in April...
Well deserved..
So therefore, wait until the next expansion is released and redeem it later.
I did the sane thing and I got Kurtrus the Ashfallen, so not too bad overall. I like the card and since it will hopefully be a year of more minion-based hs, it may come in handy. I also play quite the number of matches in Wild so its good. However, people should wait if they play standard.
OR...
Close Hearthstone, and go play a different fucking game. I think that's a much, much better idea.
"which includes a Random Guaranteed Legendary Card" so i don't think is only for standard or new expa
Scroll up until you see the tweet.
Here are all the steps you need:
1) Subscribe to Twitch Prime ( as a free trial )
2) Claim 1 Legendary + 3 standard cards
3) Unsubscribe and "Hasta la Vista baby!"
Edit: better do this when the new expansion launches, so that you will get a guaranteed STANDARD Legendary. If you do this now, you can get a legendary that will rotate out in a few days
How did you get the 3 standard cards in the first claim? I only got the free Standard legendary for now.
Awesome thanks for the heads up just got my first free legendary!
Off-topic: How come there's no Year announcement yet to preview features?
Are they dropping that stuff or delaying to launch day?
It's all on April 5th.
So if you intend to keep this for like 3 months, you pay 18€ for 3 legendary cards?
You pay for the amazon prime features and get the legendaries on top of that. That's like saying that you pay 80$ for the preorder skins.
No it's not friend. Spending 80 on 1 game that you play is not the same as spending 30 on countless features while only being interested in 1 of them. Just like spending 20$ on a steak is not like buying a 10$ jumbo bag of candy, eat one piece and throw the rest away.
In essence, your comparison is wrong.
Because this is not about paying for amazon prime just for legendaries in hearthstone.
You pay 18bugs for prime - and additionally you'll get three leggos.
I wrote the original comment and still stick to my overall explanation, except I would have said "eat only the red gummi bears" instead. (you meant me right?)
It was really just to investigate what a hearthstone-only-player will get from this deal. I'm not saying that it's a bad deal, just like a jumbo bag of candy mix is great, if you like all the pieces.
Neither of you answered my question thou. DO you get 1 legendary each of the first three months? Or 1 Leg, 1 pack, 1 leg etc.?
Yes, I meant you. And for someone completely ignoring Amazon and Twitch as a whole, it isn't a good deal. But honestly, who would consider it to be? Sorry but your comment just seems to be void of actual added value to me (so I got confused).
As you know judging by your answer, it isn't meant as a deal in that sense in the first place.
I have read somewhere, that you not only get your leggo. First month is apparently also some (non-leggo) standard cards.
The rest isn't clarified, apart from the "up to 4 leggos for the entire duration" part, so I can't answer your question.
(As I am already a prime prick, I will wait with the first month for the new exp)
I assume it won't be exactly 4 legendaries in the first 4 months though. But within the 6 months, with some other goodies complementing (packs, other cards, maybe a portrait).
