Bad. Token druid already have card they wanna Dredge into which is Azsharan Gardens. Just how many dredge cards can you fit in your tempo deck?
Too slow and weak. Hunter had a similar card and it was not used at all. This is marginally better but useless without dredge, and not powerful enough even with it.
*WHOOSH*
maybe it can work on a beast druid deck in wild
What about silence? Does it go back to 1/3 after i silence a (?) 3/5?
Probably like Sunscale Raptor, so permanent means "white numbers".
Edit: Silence will stop the Deathrattle tho.
is it a buff or a permanent stat line like sunscale. Entirely dependent on how good Dredge is in aggro druid. Which given the low-cost options available both in class and neutral, might be something.
I was also focused on the dredge aspect but there's also the new finley that will literally swap your hands for all these power spiked cards, and at 1 mana it'll slot easily into aggro decks.
Also its like the hunter 1/3 frenzy so the stats are indeed permanent, like it'll act as a fresh minion, just with +2/+2 stats, so silence should just leave it as a 3/5
the new Bottomfeeder has the same deathrattle ? 1-3 --> 3-5 --> 5-7 -->........ ????
It should scale like that, yeah. There was a worse version of this in Hunter with Frenzy that scaled the same way. So, it will prob be the same result
It's probably for the flavor, one dies, goes to the bottom and another bigger one comes and eats it and so on. The difference with the raptor is that it loses the conditionality of frenzy at the cost of having to be dredged every time. Relatively good vs fatigue I guess, but is that even relevant anymore?
Druid of the Reef is def a stronger one drop for Beast Druid, but they are losing some of their 1-mana plays in that deck. This makes a suitable substitute until something better comes along, so it will prob be played in that deck for this set. Of course, if Core has better one drops, then this will get cut pretty quickly. I don’t foresee it’s deathrattle as being too worthwhile
Not that useful. The 3/5 beast you get at the bottom is irrelevant. If you want a 1/3 beast then just play the flexible Druid of the Reef
With cards like Aquatic form, being on the bottom is not irrelevant.
Specially since Aquatic form will be in literally every deck.
Why not just fetch a better card with Aquatic Form then? why fetch a 1 mana 3/5 beast with a minor benefit of keeping off fatigue?
You don't even need a card from this expansion to be at the bottom of your deck. There are even cards you didn't plan to be on the bottom of your deck that would be way better than a 1 mana 3/5 beast...
Just because card A and card B were made to synergies with each other doesn't mean they one or both are good. Bottomfeeder is for bottom players...
Pretty sure if your bottomfeeder dies early, aquatic form into a 1-mana 3/5 on 2 is good.
"Why not fetch a better card with aquatic form?" is such a dumb question. You obviously don't know how to evaluate cards or realize that different game state calls for different decisions. What if on turn 2, aquatic form into this IS the best card? Also, do you know that dire mole was a vanilla version of this and was playable? HS has changed since then, but historically , we know 1 mana 1/3 are good. And now we have upsides. You say this is for bottom players, I'd be curious to find your rank.
You mention different game states yet you are still blindly locked into turn 1 Bottomfeeder, turn 2 Aquatic Form. You know you can play Aquatic Form to fetch something besides a 1 mana card and Aquatic Form can be played in other turns besides turn 2? Aquatic Form is a somewhat a weird version of Tracking if you think about it.
Again, you want a 1/3 beast in your deck? then just include Druid of the Reef. It is a much better card than this.
Lets humor the idea where you have played 2 Bottomfeeders turn 1 with coin then you fetch both with 2 Aquatic Forms turn 2 and summon two 3/5 beasts. Then what? go infinite with them? Why not just play Kazakusan if you are planning to go to fatigue then? Do you want to Dredge extra 5/7s and 7/9s Bottomfeeders with those terrible neutral dredge minions?
If anything...if anything, this might find its way as another simple 1mana 1/3 beast minion to include in beast druid and abandon the idea of dredging it out. Drawing your whole deck with Composting seems like a more solid plan than dredge.
Edit: I am not sure what the fate of Aggro Druid deck is, they are losing Arbor Up and I don’t think Oracle of Elune can carry the deck even if it manages to copy 3/5 Bottomfeeders
I was saying that going to the bottom of the deck is NOT irrelevant like you said. This is why I used this example. Obviously in later stages of the game you are probably looking for something better with Aquatic form. Druid of the reef is mostly a better card, but not strictly because of Aquatic form. If an aggro beast druid exists, it will want more then just druid of the reef as a one drop. People who will use Bottomfeeder will not be looking to go the long game, quite the opposite in fact.
This is not at all like Jade. The deathrattle doesn't say that it adds a copy of the dying Bottomfeeder, but a brand new one with +2/+2, so you get infinitely many 3/5 Bottomfeeders.
