I'll have fun trying to make a wild warlock murlock deck into tier 5 deck, it is all that matters.
As a wild player, I prefer weak but new themes instead of another spin on handlock or more control tools for renolock.
As a long time Murloc player, I allow myself to call this not good (in current environment obv).
Kinda wish this was a shaman card for murloc quest... oh well
I'm happy Warlock is dumpster tier this expansion. No demon seed support thank god.
The people who whine about the Murloc synergies fow Warlock have no idea of the horrors that Murlock was capable of. The Warleader used to give the fishy bois +2/+2... You have no idea how terrifying a Murlock nut draw was...
murlock is the way this time, cool to see this kind of support
also liked the SpongeBob reference
I guess Murloc Warlock might me a meme deck after all
I have a feeling that one of Warlock's unrevealed cards must have to do with Draw cards.... maybe something like Draw a card for every Murloc that dies / summons this turn?
kinda disappointed by this one.
I liked how they pushed the Warlock-Murloc-theme in a more control way of playing. This one again seems like the typical aggro "flood your board with murloc"-card.
handbuff has never been an aggro strategy, it's typically a midrange archetype, and midrange/control hybrids is a relatively standard archetype. you only need 3 murlocs in play for this to give +4/+4 which is better than Conditioning at 10 mana, and that was pretty much only ever played in midrange, otk and control warrior, so I'm 100% envisioning a midrange control mur'lock deck. Azsharan Scavenger is way too slow to fit an aggro package, even with Bloodscent Vilefin, but for more of a midrange/control deck that focuses on explosive turns and board swings I might see it.
This. More like hot garbage.
Agreed. Same old buff mechanic
1. I cannot believe they actually named it that. The trolls.
2. Very weird card antisynergy with board tempo. As murloc decks, you always want to be on board early. If you are on board early you don't have many cards in hand unless we get a ridiculously cheap draw engine. Even if we have 2-3 murlocs on board, and that's a big if, do we really want to sacrifice 2 mana and a card to buff 1-2 murlocs in hand? What a terrible card...
an EZ typical case scenario for this card is you stack up 10 cards to turn 4 and you play 3 murlocs and coin this:
you have 5 murlocs +4+4
Barov and Hysteria are rotating, tell me whats gonna answer that board in turn 5? this is OP
remember Scrap Imp? it was just +2+2 and got nerfed and there is the 2 mana murloc: give your Murlocs +1attk and rush to come back: good old Carpet handbuff zoo
Boring card...
Well, it looks like there will be a new Murzoolock archetype.
Idk, the idea Murloc Warlock of being good seems like 1% Evil, 99% Hot Gas
Murlock was the jam way back in Nax Meta. I was always upset that they gave Murlocs to Paladin and shifted away from Warlock. This card could be great in a modern Zoolock, depending on which murlocs we get in the expansion/core this rotation.
This seems like a good card: you have 2 or 3 murlocs on the board, play this and you give your other murlocs in your hand +3/+3 or +4/+4.
However, murloc decks have always been really aggresive decks, they always try to flood the board with minions as fast as possible. If you play this early on, it looks more like a loss in tempo, which goes against classic murloc plans. And if you play it later you probably won't have enough murlocs in your hand to justify it.
I'm thinking they'll add some midrangey murloc bro's to ensure this card has some kind of payout. If they do I can see it working. There's always a chance of playing a murloc package in a midrangey deck with a couple of good 4 and 5 cost Murlocs.
