Easily countered by the Krabby Patty Formula.
wouldnt Krusty Krab be better in that sense?
No one runs The Krusty Krab. It’s too expensive and only generates a +$/+$
from the text im guessing a charge legendary murloc is coming
Dunno if they’d print two legendaries pushing the same archetype (I assume that they made Gigafin a Murloc to have some synergies even if it doesn’t end up in a Murloc deck). They usually push at least two archetypes per class with one legendary per archetype. I assume the new curse card isn‘t the only one and that they push some kind of curse centric deck with the Fish of N‘Zoth as its legendary which you can see in the trailer (or maybe something entirely different).
we still need to see the core set
I think a Murloc warlock deck might be reliant to a board-based strategy. It might also be strong in the early game depending upon the support for the archetype and hope it won't fall off in the meta.
I don't like this Warlock Murloc focus... Murloc was typical Shaman or Paladin decks....
And as a paladin main, we never wanted them. They are feeble easily controllable creatures, warlock is perfect for them.
Actually, no, it was originally from Warlock. Warlock was also the class alongside Druid for rounds of endless boards. Murloc randomly shifted to Paladin. This is an okay change.
Murlocs in Paladin make nearly zero flavor sense
nice card :)
If you just play a simple Murloc Tidehunter, it buffs +3/+3. It's already great value. It's too greedy to try to fill your board with murlocs to buff +8/+8 to the remaining murlocs in your hand (maybe 1 or 2 after filling the board). Think of Imprisoned Scrap Imp: it used to buff +2/+2 and had to be nerfed.
Unless they reprint for the warlock class the shaman murloc that put a random murloc in your hand for each murloc you played, that is nonsense.
Probably not something you'd want to cast until at least turn 4-5 so you can immediately benefit from the buff, and you need at least 2 murlocs on the board. Seems a bit too conditional.
Or if there is a way to summon a ton of murloc tokens you can do that and have a big swing on the next turn.
Holy moly man this actually could be a banger. Warlock is very good at amassing cards, obviously. I could honestly see some sort of weird midrange-control-ish Murloc that sets up a big turn with 1 or two of these. Controlling just 3 murlocs makes this give your entire hand of murlocs +4/+4.
I want to see the final reveal and core set murlocs, but this could be real.
before you play a card, you want to make a board.
you play your hand to make a board.
what will you buff with this?
inner conflict at its best
