Quote from Blizzard“Well, look who it is!”
Some new faces have just shown up at the inn! Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft is happy to welcome new Heroes as they pull up a chair at the game table!
These new Heroes put a fresh face on the classes you know and love, and bring along some unique surprises of their own.
Picture Perfect
These new Hearthstone Heroes will feature beautifully detailed animated Hero portraits, including all-new art never before seen in the Blizzard universe. The first new Hero we’re introducing is a famed Warrior—the mighty King of Ironforge himself, Magni Bronzebeard!
Aside from the vibrant new Hero portrait artwork, these new Heroes also come with unique Hero power animations. Magni’s version of the Warrior’s “Armor Up!” Hero Power is sure to reinforce the fact that his majesty is not to be trifled with!
New Heroes also come with unique emotes and voices that convey their individual personalities, a play area featuring a custom visual theme, and nifty “entering the game” animations so you can greet (or intimidate) your next opponent in style.
If that wasn’t enough, new Heroes also come with a unique card back that will impress even the mightiest of dwarven kings! The steadfast “Magni” card back is added to your collection immediately after purchasing the Magni Bronzebeard Hero, and can be used with any deck of your choice.
New Heroes will be available for purchase from the in-game Shop for $9.99 USD! Usurp the traitorous Garrosh Hellscream and bring down the hammers of dwarven justice with Magni Bronzebeard; the first new Warrior Hero for Hearthstone—coming soon!
New Heroes do not add new cards to your collection or change the classes’ activated Hero Power and are not considered new classes.
This is the same model as Heroes of the Storm. You can buy all the characters with in game gold but if you want the special skins or mounts, most of them are obtained with real money *ONLY*.
Since the new Hearthstone characters don't give you anything extra, they can charge real money only for them because no one will have an advantage. It's just a new skin.
Yeah, I totally agree but the problem is that this is kind of pointless to release, especially since Blackrock didn't have much impact on the game. I feel it would have been better if they did this after GvG and after the portraits we had Blackrock. Unless we also have a new expansion in August (based on the release calendar).
i told ya that was skins!
9.99 each?! Oo
>The heroes can be bought together for $9.99
9.99 for ALL or for ONE? I don't get it
9.99 each
Greedy Blizzard.
Stop with the "entitled player" BS.
It's people like you that allow Blizzard to not need to maintain good will with their customers by pricing things fairly.
I bet you go into a place where people name a price and don't even haggle. You're probably like "oh, yeah, I have that money so I'll give it to you."
10 bucks is silly.
10 bucks is not Silly. Alot of time, resources and energy goes into creating stuff like this. It's purely optional, so don't buy it. Stop expecting handouts and bargains all of the time. They owe you nothing.
No, no. You live in a fantasy land where morals and right and wrong are some absolute truth. I actually want Hearthstone to make money, and a lot of it. I live in a nihilistic reality where everything is an optimization problem.
This pricing system is not optimized for anyone, including blizzard. If someone's going to spend 10 bucks on a hero portrait without a paywall, they're not going to spend 1400-2000 gold on it.
Yet, if they put it in for 2000 gold, that increases the value of the hero portrait, because now it's something people grind for. And how do people grind for gold? By not spending it on packs. And, how do you spend on packs without spending gold? By paying money.
Have you payed any attention to the fact that everything in Hearthstone up to now has been F2P-available and they've made exorbitant amounts of money?
They're not going to lose money by making it "free." They're going to trick people into buying it for more money by making it "free."
Use your brain.
> required resources
> internen made this crap in one afternoon between coffee breaks
People were already modding HS to change heroes and the emotes before Blizzard decided this should cost $10.
