This is basically replacing Goody Two-Shields.  I think that card was better.

Most of the time when you play goody two-shields, she gets cleared immediately. The spellburst is rarely procced.. that's why the mooncatcher is already better. It always has the upside. And once you draw the sunken mooncatcher, the upside is also a lot better than getting another divine shield.

Yeah, because the card was so powerful it forced the opponent to overextend resources to killing it immediately.  Can't tell you the number of times people did weird and wasteful things just to kill it immediately, that would end up winning the game as you snowballed an advantage.

It just gets pinged and traded with any minion that's on the board..

Goody two-shield was very strong when it was released because paladin was generally strong and it got supported by other very strong cards that were able to protect her. The card by itself is good, but not great. It doesn't even see any play now.

So they give up their tempo advantage?  Yeah it was great.

does this make the cut in a Wild mech pally? I can't tell if "yes of course" or "no too slow", maybe even there Seafloor Savior makes it viable

Deeprun Engineer is going to be a staple for paladin right now, we have 3 class mech and all of them are pretty nice

Seems like it, kinda love this Mech Sunken card for Paladin as it works perfect with Cariel hero power (+4/+4). So once hit and this becomes 2x 8/6 with Divine Shield for 3 mana
