I love it. Will see play in big-spell-mage. Or are cards rotating out that supported that archtype? Idk. And in general. I love it. Very solid.
A giant. Long time no seen. Seems to be good in spell classes. Will see play. Well... thats it because its not that interesting or opens any other possibilities.
there was Ur'zul Giant in the last expansion.
But I feel that Giants are for another generation of the game, when a massive amount of stats without a direct impact, were enough to win the game.
Agreed. Today Minions need strong battle cries, death rattles or auras to be efficient. A 0 Mana 8/8 is nice but we have a lot of removal even for such big stuff.
Before looking at the card text but the card name, I thought it says for each Naga minion you’ve played this game….
i guess it’s potentially good for many classes utilizing lots of spells for their decks: Mage, Priest, Warlock, and even Shaman, Hunter, Rogue, Druid, DH
The issue is that it is a non-fancy reprint for the Arcane Giant
I would like to see something much more interesting.
Arcane giant prefers cheap spells so they go in different decks
Yes. Next time we will make a reverse Clockwork Giant that it is discounted by the missing cards in the opponent hand. Is it a fun game with reprinted stuffs changed?
don't like when cards like this in the pre-show list
Maybe good in some decks, but I'm struggling to come up with one that would want to run this with the cards we've got and seen so far. Arcane Giant can come down waaaaay faster, and during its time in standard there also existed ways to give it charge, take extra turns, copy it, etc.
I know the other Giants are 8/8 but it's time to see new flavours. Instead of 8/8 make it a 7/9.
Okay, Imma level with you here. I see your love for uneven stat lines in these comment sections, and I get it, but I would not consider a slightly different statline a new flavor. It's really not much of a difference. So little difference that they might as well just stick with the typical giant statline for simplicity's sake.
Grave Horror from Rastakhan was a 7/8 if that counts. It's pretty much a giant.
this is pushing Dark Aley Pact path in questlock, like a late game Flesh Giant,
2×Pact
2× Full Blwon Evil and some cheap Spells this is zero mana.
Zola this another 0 mana
Cause giants are always so fun to have played against you...
This can go very well with a Control Priest and with Big Spell Mage. I really hope to get Conjurers Calling and Khadgar into Core Set... A man can dream.
Seeing the name gives me flashbacks to the 5-cost Naga Sea Witch + 8/8 Giants combo back in the day.
You know, they could bring this back with the Naga tag, we already see Warriors getting a spell that sets the minions cost to 5.
They said they’ll retro tag previous naga in the game so it’s a possibility. A fun way to bring out colossal creatures.
They are really pushing the spell synergies with Naga huh. It feels like this expansion is more spell oriented than Scholomance, a school of magic, and Forged in the Barren, which introduced spell schools.
