22.6.1 Patch Notes - Hotfixes, Battlegrounds Changes
Blizzard just announced that we're getting a patch tomorrow that focuses on fixing a few bugs as well as some Battlegrounds changes.
Quote from BizzardPatch 22.6.1 is a server hotfix going live on Wednesday, March 23. This patch includes Bug Fixes and changes to Battlegrounds.
Battlegrounds Changes:
Friend of a Friend has been removed from the minion pool. See the Developer Comment for more details as to why.
Several heroes are moving up Armor Tiers (more Armor):
Lord Barov, Millificent Manastorm, Onyxia, and Tavish Stormpike are now in Armor Tier 2 (2-5 Armor)
Bru’kan is now in Armor Tier 3 (3-6 Armor)
Greybough, Kael’thas, and Rokara are now in Armor Tier 4 (4-7 Armor)
Captain Eudora, Master Nguyen, and Reno Jackson are now in Armor Tier 5 (5-8 Armor)
Drek’Thar, Elise Starseeker, and Sindragosa are now in Armor Tier 6 (6-9 Armor)
Illidan, Lich Baz’hial, Mr. Bigglesworth, Pyramad, Tamsin Roame, and Vanndar are now in Armor Tier 7 (7-10 Armor)
Several heroes are moving down Armor Tiers (less Armor):
Aranna Starseeker, Deathwing, Maiev Shadowsong, Scabbs Cutterbutter, and Tess Greymane are now in Armor Tier 1 (0 Armor)
Ambassador Faelin is now in Armor Tier 2 (2-5 Armor)
Queen Wagtoggle is now in Amor Tier 3 (3-6 Armor)
Shudderwock is now in Armor Tier 7 (4-7 Armor)
Bug Fixes and Game Improvements
Fixed a bug that caused players to be locked if they filled up their Mercenaries Party before completing tutorial Tasks that included adding Mercenaries to your Party
Fixed a product shop image that did not match the description or actual product content
Disabled the blank “completed all Book of Mercenaries” pop-up; rewards will be added (and awarded retroactively for those who already earned them) in a later patch

Posted Mar 23, 2022 (Fractured in Alterac Valley)As broken as Friend of a Friend is/was, it was at least different enough that I would have allowed for it to hang around for at least a couple more weeks. A simpler solution would have been to remove a couple of the better buddies(not more than 1 or 2 or the card just becomes unpickable), I was shocked when the pool of minions it couldn't discover were only the completely useless ones.

Posted Mar 22, 2022 (Fractured in Alterac Valley)Would have preferred it if they finally did something about brann brokenbeard himself, and probably remove the tickatus buddy from the pool. Still feels like if murlocs are in, get yourself an early brann and the rest is just steamrolling because poison is a catch all against everything degenerate that can be thrown at you (and murlocs get massive scaling with brann).
I had a game where I started as cookie, got an early brann so just rolled murlocs and with friend of a friend, ended up spinning the yogg wheel 3 times, getting tess' burgle hero power that I was able to use 3 times a turn with an ice block in play and unlimited money every turn because brann just enables these broken game states. Needless to say I ended the game with a board of 6 perfect amalgadons.
