Expansion Reveal March 15th - Core Set Reveal Coming Soon After
The announcement of the announcement is here. On Tuesday March 15th we will learn what the new expansion for Hearthstone will be. Soon after Blizzard will also reveal their other plans and changes for 2022 and the new Core set!
Quote from BlizzardPLAYING YOUR HAND IN HEARTHSTONE
To kick off the first of our announcements, on March 15, the Hearthstone development team will share details about the first of three expansions this year. Shortly after, they'll provide a deeper look into the plans for Hearthstone for 2022—including the annual core set changes.
Until then, you’ll want to cozy up by the fireside for the first season of Hearthstone Grandmasters now in progress. Exclusively on YouTube, you can earn Fractured in Alterac Valley drops while watching the top players in the world compete for their shot at the playoffs, a share of the $250,000 (USD) prize pool, and regional invites to the 2022 World Championship.
Don’t forget to tune in on April 2-3 for Lobby Legends: Raid Leaders—Hearthstone Esports' first Battlegrounds event of the year. It’s an exciting time for Hearthstone and you won’t want to miss a moment in the Tavern.
Yeah, i'll wait a month after the expansion to see if they grew any kind of clue on card design.
The last few expansions have all been terrible, with the most recent one taking the absolute cake in bad design (looking at you, kasakusan).
That's what Blizzard games are nowadays, you wait a month to see how it turns out, and then you probably don't buy it. A sad reality for a game company that was once considered the best in the business.
Announcing that they are going to do an announcement is also... well, weird, to put it mildly.
i'm always super interested to see how these clowns contradict themselves
I would love to know what kind of viewership Grandmasters would get if they didn't bribe people with loot drops.
Yikes. You should disenchant this comment for 1 Dust.
Looking forward to the next round of incomprehensible design decisions by the
dummiesdevs. "Hey guys, the charge mechanic is unhealthy, so Leeroy is now Legacy" (prints Mr. Smite).I know it may be annoying, but what about the dumb lock legendarie tamsin and his deck? that one is even worst and doesnt even need charge.
Same here
I seriously think this doesn't has that many to do with devs at all lol. Devs aren't the designers of the cards, they only make them on the game. But the effects are suggested and thought by others. In fact, probably some of the most fun cards or effects of this game were probably created on their own by devs or leads, and most of the garbage is from "trust me I know" bullshit.
The problems this game has are from a design and product perspective, not from a development perspective. Probably they have spaghetti code though lol, but that's just a minor thing compared to the other problems.
Geez you rookies blame devs for everything wrong on any software or website, when most of the shit comes from people from "the business" that actually don't have a single idea of what they're doing but they camouflage it with fancy words lol.
the managers make the design decisions, not the programmers.
i believe they look at the statistics and put cards that most players dont have in the rotation for the core set and take cards that 99% of the player base have out. that way you need to spend money or dust to get those cards
Dude, the core set is free.
I think what he means is that what happens to the cards after the core set is rotated
I DONT CARE "DUDE" I HAVE GOT ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY THE GAME TWICE.
lol
AnnounceStone yay
"announcing the announcement of the announcement"-season is officially here!
Coming in May: "DoN't YoU gUyS hAvE pHoNeS?"
Is this an out-of-season April's Fool joke?
Epic moments will be born. I am ready!

In fact, the more I think about it, the more I think it's an opportunity for epic moments. I haven't played Warcraft in years, but I'm pretty sure Warcraft on the phone is the last thing players want.
Epic moments of detachment with consumers are still upon us!

There is this video on the internet that explains the story of Blizz and how it came to this mess (quick recaps are good).
I am ready with the popcorn!
