Masters Tour: Onyxia's Lair was the first Masters Tour stop to determine who will be going to the Summer Championship which is due to start later this year and will have 4 spots to the World Championship on the line for all participants. With this being the first of 3 tournaments to determine these Summer Championship spots, it is an important stepping stone!
The closely fought results from the Swiss rounds on Friday and Saturday lead to the Top 16 single elimination rounds on Sunday. Find all the video links as well as the results from Sunday and the Decklists from the Top 4 in our recap below!

Since we are posting our article close to the ending of Day 3, not all of the matches have been put onto YouTube yet, so check the official Hearthstone Esports YT Channel for the uploads later here!
Whether purposefully or not, but Blizzard does not seem to have done per-match videos of this tournament, there are only the full-day broadcasts!

LoveStorm is brilliant and a deserved winner. He's got the most daring, unexplored lineup. Brute DH in 2022? Yes!
Yasss!
I like this masters tour. It were not quite fast games, there was a new meta and every class was showed up in the tournament, which means that the class variaty was very well
For me it was unexpectedly interesting to watch :D
This was a VERY unsolved Meta to play a tournament in. Competitors had days to get their line ups in. It was nice to see that still many of the known players from GM came through, based on just being really good players and that ultimately the players with the best combo of deck choice and play quality won out.
This is not the first Masters Tour stop where play has been exciting and there's been revelations among the players of new players stepping up. I'm glad the new competitive system works based on mostly the Masters Tour events, much as I love the idea of Grand Masters as the top league with the best players in the world competing against eachother.
I think the problem is that the Grand Masters system is too constricted. Yes, it;s the best players in the world, but they only compete within a region. Masters Tour sees players from all over the world compete against eachother, which is far more exciting and gives a far more truthful picture of who the best players of the moment are.
The trouble with Masters Tour is that the events only happen 6 times a year. It would be far better if there were more events because right now all it takes is 1 hot streak. GM on the other hand tests players over and over again, week after week, at the highest level.
So in an ideal world, we'd have the best players of the world compete in regular match ups. So basically we need to get Blizzard to organize Masters Tour stops every week. =P
I'm down for it.
