More low effort portraits...all development is put into this...

Maybe wasted resources (i.e. mainly money), but this job can be done purely by an artist and a couple voice actors. Developers have already designed the foundation for different portraits etc.

I wonder if we will be seeing this amount of pandering to China and shilling skins that hardly anyone in the West has an interest in purchasing now that MS owns Blizz. There is a huge market and player base for HS in China, but MS has been pretty lukewarm with China, especially when compared to Activision/blizzard.

yes, I doubt we will be seeing any change to working, "low effort", profit channels with this acquisition.

With all the regular new skin releases it's kinda weird that they don't let us try emotes on the portrait select screen or in the shop. They could even let us see the new hero power effect. Would help to sell those skins.

Feels like Hearthone is just the vehicle to sell portraits (skins).

Some skins were made available for gold after a while, but with the amount of skins being churned out currently, it is a bit of a gamble when (and if) a portrait will be back.
