[WILD] Top 100 Legend Miracle Priest

[WILD] Top 100 Legend Miracle Priest

As a player who has reached Legend many times, I've always tried to create a lot of different decks myself rather than copying them from others.

This season I've created a "new" deck that mixes up together the aspect of "mana cheating" and "value generation". High APM and quick decisions matter a lot, so if you're playing on mobile, this deck might not be the best for you.

I've made a few adjustments (mainly because ODD Hunter is not a thing anymore and Pirate Warrior is the best matchup for the deck) to the deck since I've created the first version of it, but the idea stays the same.

Now let's look at the stats, how to play the deck, what you should mulligan for and how to improve your winrate with the deck.

Mulligan

You generally keep Drek'TharSethekk VeilweaverRadiant ElementalPower Word: Shield

Demon Hunter

  • The general cards

Mage

Paladin

Priest

Rogue

Shaman

Warlock

Warrior

You can probably tell that you always keep Shadow Word: Devour against a board-based or aggro decks.
This mulligan part is not 100% correct, but it should give you a general idea of what you should or shouldn't keep (I see many lower-ranked players keeping cards like Shadow Visions or Thrive in the Shadows which is just not correct because you need minions first, you don't want to spend the first few turns discovering cards, you need to be active and play your minions aggressively. You have Shadow Visions into Raise Dead to get your minions back or you can play Drek'Thar to get the second wave of minions on the board), you sometimes need to think about what you're going to play like 3 turns ahead and what your opponent is going to play as well. If you'd like to see how to pilot the deck, you can look at my streams on Twitch.

The general idea (win condition)

  • As you can probably tell, this deck has 3 win conditions - To create a big minion and smack it into your opponent's face, to clear a board against aggro decks while keeping your minions alive and killing them with a lethal blow/card generation, or to play as fast as possible and create a ton of value with Sethekk Veilweaver, Nazmani Bloodweaver and Radiant Elemental.
  • Be aware that this deck loses a lot against Shamans, so if you're facing a lot of them, It's a better idea to play something else instead.
  • This deck almost always auto-wins against Warriors and Hunters, so if you're sick of them, this deck might be a really nice counter.

Some tips

  • You can use Renew on your own minions to create even more value with Sethekk Veilweaver.
  • You need to play as fast as possible when you're going for the "value" win condition.
  • There are 119 spells that you can randomly get or discover, 75 of them cost 3 or less mana, so if you have the option to use your Gift of Luminance on a minion, use it on Radiant Elemental rather than on Nazmani Bloodweaver. If you have most of the cards in your hand 0 mana, use it on Nazmani Bloodweaver instead. Sometimes if you need value, you can use it on Sethekk Veilweaver as well.
  • Don't be afraid to coin out Sethekk Veilweaver or Radiant Elemental on turn 1. You have a lot of ways how to get them back (resurrect spells randomly generated from Sethekk VeilweaverRaise Dead, etc).
  • If you have the option to play Thrive in the Shadows or Shadow Visions, always play Thrive in the Shadows first. It makes your upcoming draws better by drawing the card out of your deck instead of getting a copy of it.
  • Counting on winning in the late game is a path to Hell for you, the earlier you win the lower the chance of your opponent killing you with their OTK is (or you running out of value because your opponent has gotten to the stage where they just have all the clears in the world).
  • Against Druids and Shamans, try to bait out their board removals - Poison Seeds & Devolve by playing minions and making them scary early on (but don't use your valuable cards like for example Divine Spirit is, you need it to kill them later in one turn).
  • Against Paladins be aware of Righteous Defense and don't make a big minion unless you're going to kill them that turn.
  • Against Mages, and Rogues, you can afford to play your minions really early and buff them with Power Word: Shield for example, because they have really low chances of killing them in the early game (most of these decks rely on their own combo rather than killing enemy minions).
  • Against Priests, you need to be prepared for 4 types of decks - Aggro, Combo, Reno, and Big. For the last 3 decks, they have almost no way of killing your minions till turn 4-5, so you're able to for example coin out Nazmani Bloodweaver or other minions. And for the aggro deck, you really need Shadow Word: Devour + a minion to play it on (Nazmani Bloodweaver is too slow in that case).
  • Against Warlocks, you need to be prepared for 4 types of decks - Cute, Mechathun, Reno, Even. Again, the strategy is to keep minions, buff them a bit, bait out their removals and then try to generate as much value as possible or kill them in one turn.
  • Against Hunters, odd decks are almost dead, so most of the time It's going to be a Secret Hunter, which you can easily win against, you just need to (again and again) play your minions early, watch out for Freezing Trap Pressure Plate Snipe and Ice Trap and try to play around it.
  • Against Warriors, Shadow Word: Devour wins the game on spot, if you have a minion to play it on.
  • Against Demon Hunter... Yeah... This class doesn't exist in wild at all.

Tech options

  • Living Dragonbreath is a possible tech card if you want to improve the winrate against Shamans or Mages (only by a small margin), but I don't recommend it, because it makes your Drek'Thar and Insight worse. I've tried it and It's just not worth it.
  • I'm currently experimenting with 2xPower Word: Fortitude instead of 2xGift of Luminance, I believe It might be better, but that needs more testing.
  • Btw don't play Rally!, It's expensive and if you have it in your hand, It makes your Nazmani Bloodweaver's effect worse.
