I can't help but think Tess got a massively short end of this "expansion's" stick. Hunter of Old right now basically seems to be "Gain 1 coin each turn while this is in play." simply due to how the other buddies work in conjunction with their heroes. I mean Crabby's ability is all about the damage your HP does, Spirit Raptor's is purely based on elemental invocations used, Raging Contender requires Hooktusk's hero power...

Why do some of the buddies have legendary gems while others have none ?

for the most part legendaries are named characters

there can be multiple epic eggs and shadow wardens, but only one asher or gadrin

plus since sneeds left battlegrounds, the rarity doesn't matter in the gamemode; so they can throw in as many named characters as they want without worry of getting flack for wasting people's pack pity timers on a sub-par legendaries

Wait, Sneeds is gone from Battlegrounds? When did this happen? I could’ve sworn I fought against him last week. 

They mean Sneed's Old Shredder minion not the hero Sneed

Not really? I'm assuming you're talking about Vanndar Stormpike not Tavish Stormpike (which doesn't affect Tarcegosa at all), it's really not that amazing. You're not adding the health of your highest-health minion to Tarecgosa, you're overwriting it, in other words all it does is make your Tarecgosa copy the health of your highest health minion. If you do it again the next turn, it does nothing, unless that other minion has grown in stats. That's decent and all, but not really noteworthy. Especially when you consider that Tarecgosa is usually your highest health minion to begin with.

He is talking about Crab + Tarecgosa, which is very strong!

You're probably right, I was confused since he was talking about "hero power" not the buddy, but that's the only real new synergy with Tarecgosa.
