You want the best Fractured in Alterac Valley deck for day 1? Big Spells Mage, Secrets Hunter, Freeze Shaman, whatever kind of Alterac Valley deck you are looking for, we have tried to feature it in this news post, and more decks will be added during release! As always, these decks are mostly made without play testing, so expect a healthy amount of refining to be needed before we arrive at the decks that shape the Fractured in Alterac Valley Meta.

Quest Odd Hunter and Quest Pirate Warrior all the way in Wild, no point in posting Wild decks.
I actually banked on my Golden Pirate Quest, there's just no way I won't see my 3200 Dust back until the end of next week. Nerf of Pirate Quest is inevitable.
They'll do everything in their power to not nerf it so as to not give refunds.
Likely they'll just ban it from Wild as well - the most lazy and cheap solution.

All quest warrior and hunters in wild today. After about 30 games give or take, there was around 4 games that involved people trying out new cards/decks. I really hope these quests get toned down. Completing your quests by turn 5 while half way killing your opponent in the processes isn't engaging any.
Me and the family sitting around and play odd quest hunter and quest pirate warrior in wild while people test out the new cards.
Is it released ? cuz i only see quest mage and quest warlock and quest warriors in the game with no new cards.
Did Quests get a counter? Nope?
Nothing counters all questlines as a blanket hate-tech card, but there are strategies that can defeat them individually.
I think the meta will be a lot more "normal" in the sense that each archetype will have a variety of good and bad match-ups. You should never expect to steamroll all other decks just because you're playing control, but that doesn't mean control isn't viable.

When I saw this article I wished it hadn’t been written… day 1 netdecking can’t be healthy for the game. Then I saw the average list was pretty bad and I’m happy. This is trying to sell a miracle priest without malygos and a buff paladin with Mr. Smite and no other pirates. It will take some time to get these decks figured out at this rate.

What sort of naive soul can believe this hasn't happened at every Hearthstone expansion launch in history?
Few years ago anyone had access to new card before any other player, so all the players were experimenting the first few days. Now is pure netdecking since day 1. So they deleted the only really funny 15 days per year of the game.
Everyone has always had access to the full card list before launch. Always. That means there has always been theorycrafting, and theorycrafted decks have always been posted online.
The decks you see in the early access streams and vids are completely irrelevant. They are built with massive restrictions and cannot be anywhere close to optimal. Anyone using an early-access deck from a stream is in for a rude awakening because theorycrafted decks without the restrictions are going to destroy them.
Since the unrestricted theory decks are the ones that matter, and since they have always existed and have always been available for anyone to copy starting on day 1 of every expansion, the experimentation phase has not changed a bit -- except that there are now more bad decks in the mix being used by people who don't understand why the early access decks are bad.
You can just scrap all these decks and just put "Your Favorite Quest Decks From Last Expansion" and save everyone a lot of scrolling
Blizz Devs need to make good on their promise to slam the quests that warp the new meta and quick. Personally I think they should've already announced another Demon Seed nerf. Shit card will single handedly oppress slower deck tactics again.
I would say the problem is not the quest but that warlock has now to much healing. A few expansions ago the healing for warlock was lacking and besides the 2 mana deal 3 livesteal there was nothing else. Now? They play so many cards that can heal that that not even priest can think of... that what made the quest good.
I’ve been saying it for two expansions. Priest is in a weird place because warlock is priest now. A class with tons of AoE and hard removal, huge amounts of healing, resurrection, a powerful end game and an annoying early game… that’s priest right?
Guess how many Questline decks are in the top 10 right now.
The answer is two. Out of ten questlines, two (Warrior and Warlock) are currently competitive -- and the expansion hasn't launched yet.
And of those two, I think Warrior is definitely going to have better options. Pirates will still be good, but the number of people who switch to Control Warrior is going to dilute that pool a lot. As for Warlock, it's going to continue to do well, but it's not exactly oppressive now, and it didn't get a lot of new tools.
Will Questlines still be around? Sure. Will they automatically be better than non-Questline decks? Not by a long shot.
(And this is coming from someone who was calling for deletion of Questline right up until they previewed the last of the new cards. Having seen the whole set, it's pretty clear to me that Questlines may be the least of our worries. In fact, we may be glad to have them as a counter to some of the REALLY oppressive strategies that are now possible.)
Kind of. Let me just say I never lost a control game with something like Quest Warlock, Mage, Priest, Paladin or Warrior. Currently people dont play Control because quests will eat them alive. Most of the matches are aggro or tempo. Thats the only reason why just 2 quests are meta. With control around others will rise and destroy them.
