Well this will certainly wreck deathrattle priest.
Nice, more uninteractive stuff for mage.
You choose how many minions you commit to the board.
Clears are nothing new. Just like Brawl you always have to conserve some cards and not just dump full mana every turn.
There is no commiting to board against mage, it is a face rush with minions vs spells with them for a long time now, they do a shit ton of direct damage (that can go to infinity), so it is either kill or be killed by turn 7-8, and giving them another stall if they are unlucky with direct damage is just stupid. "Oh but it affects all minions", like mage plays any minion at all
And again only one class gets all of the sweet stuff of negating deathrattle and stats, and resurrect... its not like they broke class identity anyway so why not give something to other classes as well?
Shades of Plague of Murlocs. Difference in costs is significant, and it's not like PoM saw that much play. Maybe cause Shaman is more minion centric than Mage, I guess?
Its the best effect from Kazakus' 10-mana potion, except it does not clear the board afterwards, and you can have 2 of them in your deck and do not need to play highlander. Actually a very good card vs control priest or warrior matchups, the ones that control mage usually loses.
oh yeah! so from big spells we have flamestrike as fire , deep freeze as frost , mass polymorph as arcane and even mask of c'thun as shadow
Big spell pool is getting there almost reaching critical mass
this adds arcane to the pool of 5+ cost mage spells for Hero Varden to recast, previously only occupied by the 5 mana arcane deadmines card.
Rip big decks
Which actually is a super rough match up for big spell mage.
Maybe a variant of big spell mage that includes C'thun will emerge if control truly returns.
Well, if anyone was wondering how you get procs on your hero power for Varden I guess.
Also if you wanna use the quest in big spell Mage, Arcane is actually kind of limited, and this helps fill that slot.
I still wanna see one more mid-range-y (6-8 mana) frost spell, though.
the Mage Big Spell that everyone was looking for...
