Clumsy Courier and Grey Sage Parrot can finally have some use.
So it's a frost spell to help complete the quest makes minions that you can use your own spells on to complete your quest.
Wonderful.
Don't sweat it, brother. If this ends up in a Mage deck that even approaches tier 3, you folks will flood the forums with complaints and it'll get nerfed. So, nothing to worry about.
also a proactive frost spell just wonderful
reverse pyros, not only it’s a frost elemental but also is a spell lol
Agree that the creativity here can benefit several Mage archetypes..... and Quest Mage can take advantage of this card as well to be on the proactive side of the board instead of being on defense with the Frost Secret spells..
This completes the entire frost stage of the quest on it's own.
Slower value mage deck that runs the quest?
This card just seems good to me. Helps big spell, helps quest, helps control.
I think it doesn't work that well with the quest.
The spellpower reward benefits burn spells and burn spells want faster games thus faster quest completion. It also leads to the convoluted turns that are focused on quest completion over efficient use.
The first snowman could be useful as you can cast your stuff on it as well, but the other ones are too expensive. Maybe the 6 cost in the mirror if you are desperate and got this from the discover.
Overall I don't see a quest mage waiting until T10 or later to drop Varden and then also having enough cards that utilise the spellpower.
Pyros
Adds a 6 mana spell that summons a 6/6 that in turn adds a 9 mana spell that summons a 9/9
I like this card a lot. it benefits a lot of existing Mage archetypes.
Sooo I get only 2 cards were revealed for mage so far, but another one is Hero card. Hope we will see some big spell mage support, otherwise there is no point in the support it recieved in the miniset and last set.
Build a Snowgre is a big spell, and one you will definitely want to cheat out because it's not worth spending a whole turn to cast.
That's actually kind of cool. Right now the frost synergy in mage is lacking value and threats. It has removal, but it needs something to win the game with.
This may not make it a winning archetype, but I like the direction.
