This is so cheap for 6 mana. Board clear, draw cards, get armor...
this is good in any non-rush deck. a 6 mana deal 3 to all and heal 5 is good value, plus an upgraded hero power and potential board out of nowhere.
Control cards are always nice, but idk how well it will do. Sure it upgrades your hero power and draws cards but those 3/3 destroy the Bloodreaver Gul'dan res pool so idk if it will see play in Control Warlock
it might fit more into a Midrange Warlock more than Control Warlock...
If Control Warlock will become a thing, this might be good, if not, it probably won't see play.
At least this doesn’t complement the quest, because the hero power it doesn’t damage the warlock.
I was wondering how they could make a late game hero card that competes with DK Guldan or Jrax in value.
Making it more of a midrange card was a good choice.
I mean yeah this is just bananas strong. The thing is, MOST of the time a hero cards new hero power is better than the replaced power. But there are some niche instances where the basic hero power actually is better than the original in some circumstances.
Two big examples of this is deathstalker rexxar and the warrior DK hero. While the zombeasts are of course amazing, there are times when the 2 damage a turn actually would have won you the game where the beasts did not. Same with warrior. The whirlwind hero power is worse than the armor in most cases.
This has no drawback. This is, in a vacuum, the best SINGLE card in hearthstone’s history. Pretend this is a spell. 6 mana: Deal 3 damage to all minions. Draw 3 cards. Gain 5 armor.
That alone is absolutely insane. Now, add a massive tempo portion to it AND get a vastly powered up hero power, and you have something truly truly spectacular.
Again, IN A VACUUM, this is the best card ever printed.
Second Best.
So with this revealed, I’m REALLY curious what the Priest hero is going to be able to do.
Add +2 health to all your characters
Silence a friendly minion, draw a card
I dunno. It's a bit cheaper but seems weaker than Hagatha even, and Hagatha wasn't that good in a slower meta.
This card is way better than Hagatha just because of it manacost. Using Hagatha was just a turn skip and later it was always a random casino where you had huge chances to get shitty card.
This hero card is super simple and staple, should see some play in midrange decks
I didn't know being a Lich elongates your chin that much.
the guy telling this conflicts with the quest.
1)by turn 6 or 7 warlock is usually done with quest
2) the main threat from quest is not that 2 dmg but Fatigue and this is a fast forward button to fatigue and some how unites bith builds for control quest warlock (you dont need Matron anymore)
In Wild? Maybe. In Standard? Not a chance. These days I often need fatigue damage to finish the quest (because 24 damage is quite a lot) and that never happens before turn 9-10.
On the one hand, this isn't too flashy. Hero power after playing this is "just" lifetap without the damage. Sure, maybe imps, but still.
But 6 mana Hellfire + Draw 3 + 5 Armor is really solid.
Edited: nvm... I figured out what a rift is...
