Well instead of dealing 2 damage to yourself/your opponent you have 3/3 every turn (after drawing all cards out).
So while it doesnt deal damage to your opponent directly (and lets be honest, it is the fatigue, not the 2damage) which is killing your opponent quickly.
It forces him to keep clearing it otherwise he will be getting hit in face every single turn for more damage and it allows warlock to somehow control the board.
Eh, if you've gotten all the way to fatigue, 3/3 imps probably don't matter much. The game is probably decided--you have the gas left to win, or your opponent is far enough out of range that you don't. Two or three extra imps after emptying a deck aren't going to be the deciding factor. On top of that, when facing off against the quest, tap isn't what scares me--it's the various "Draw 3" spells.
I'm also kind of supposing that the questlines will get the Genn/Baku treatment, and get rotated early with the first expansion next year (so around 4-5 months from now). They just lead to such boring and repetitive games, much like the Odd/Even mechanics. Without the quest, there isn't a race to fatigue, and we'll see how the imps work out, but even if the hero power isn't exciting, this is still a potent battlecry.
That smoky hair looks ridiculous.
It looks alright but somehow I am not terribly excited. Other hero cards seem better, more exciting.
It is kinda dull. Sure, the battlecry is huge, but the hero power upgrade isn't anything exciting. It's Life Tap without damage (which we've seen) plus maybe eventually a 3/3, which isn't bad, but it doesn't really change how you play your deck. In contrast, the Rogue hero power does something really different with that Preparation on a stick. Even if this winds up being a higher win rate card, it's bland rather than spicy.
Agree, even if the card turns out to be good, in terms of gameplay, it's a bit "meh" as it doesn't do anything flashy as you would expect from a hero card.
In wild with the old quest (draw 0 cost cards)
Different class, no powercreep here. Warlock can already draw 3 for 3 (and 3 hp).
Yes but now they’re drawing 3, dealing 3 damage to the board, upgrading their hero power, and gaining 5 armor for 6. Seems undercosted to me.
exactly my point, thank you brother
I wasnt talking about some specific thing (like comparing Nourish with this). Generally, the power level of the new cards got crazy high
It works quite well with questline.
You draw 3 cards (=faster fatigue), you keep drawing power and you keep spamming board with medium size minions. The only issue is, that they dont have rush lol.
This doesn't go with the questline at all. Lifetap is better with questline. Hurts you to complete it, then hurts them after.
It will be nerfed to seven mana
'Here's your Even Warlock, bro.'
Can't fix the Questlines? Just powercreep the game so much they're too weak!
Nice hero card, at least it's not a direct support for The Demon Seed....
Can the hero power be used if there is no Rift on the board or hand? oh wait, but what is a Rift?
I really like this card
that last "draw 3 cards" part is just a little too much. all that effect and add a Nourish on top of that.
these cards get crazier over time. please stop the powercreep
I can't believe they hadn't reverted that nerf, haha.
Nourish at 4 would be about right in 2021.
as a priest, i can live with that
No Discard, no OTK, just Minions.
