It seems very good on paper. I am not sure anyway if we will play it. It is at the end very slow, therefore not usable in most of Hunter's decks that are aggro face. We will see.
I mean.. It would be busted but the current meta is just insane, quest pirate warrior and quest hunter are so busted that this card won't change anything.
also you need to play this before you draw your secrets, and if you include 2 copies for consistency second copy seems like a dead card ?
or it will double the effect and draw 2 each turn?
It probably won't let you play the second one while one is already active. They look like DH sigils do, with that little lightning bolt above the hero portrait. And you can't have two of the same sigil active at the same time.
An obviously great card. Just needs a deck that is good to be in.
Weird to call this an "objective" when you don't actually have to do anything.
It's the less common, military meaning of objective:
"a strategic position to be attained or a purpose to be achieved by a military operation"
So Hearthstone objectives are just "strategically important places".
I get that, but you still have to do something to "take the objective." The other objective cards require the player to do certain things in order to reap the benefits, such as have a Deathrattle minion die.
Got nothing against the power level but remember when they said Hunter's weakness is card draw?
2 Mana, tutor 3 cards, cheat 3 mana.
This is like 3 Sigil of Alacrity in 1 for 1 more mana. I think the hunter secret quality is good enough for this card to see play in secret-oriented decks.
Yeah, it's probably not a face hunter card. But it's interesting for combo and/or control. I might rather run this than Subject 9 (which can be tricky to run). With 2 of those secrets being fire and frost schools, if I can also find a way to run Arcane Shot and a nature spell or two, I might also run Multicaster(s) for more draw.
Of course, that's Wild. In standard, I'd hope we get a decent new secret in this expansion, otherwise, this probably won't see play.
It's so insanely strong. Like, I don't think people will realize how strong-type of strong. The ONLY thing that even remotely holds this back in standard right now is that the available secrets (so far) are on the "meh" side. If we get one or two good-great secrets from this set, watch out. This would be a very good card even without the discount, as 2 mana "draw 3" in HUNTER is crazy. But with the discount, this card is a 5/5. My god this is good.
I think if we look at this simply as card draw (and thinning your deck for other natural draws) - this is a 2 mana draw 3 cards.
I think that's really good.
Will be very good in Even Hunter
In a way, this is like Skull of Gul'dan. It draws three and reduces the cost of these cards by 2 (instead of three). Might be too slow for hunter, but excited to see what other secret support they will print.
If I'm reading this properly it reduces the cost by 1, since hunter secrets cost 2. So if you take the most profit out of this you end up paying 5 mana for 3 secrets, instead of 6 mana. The only upside is the card draw engine.
The only upside? This draws three targeted spells, and reduces their cost besides. Secrets have seen plenty of play in hunter even when they had to be drawn and played normally, when you can tutor them this easily. What more upside do you need?
Ultimately it will depend on whether the secret package as a whole is powerful enough to warrant inclusion in hunter over another package, but this will be an incredibly powerful part of it if it is.
You're right, it only reduces by 1 of course!
Uhmm, I never said that upside wasn't enough to make it viable, I was replying to the guy who said that secrets would get discounted by 2. So the discount is not really the point of the card, is the drawing engine instead. I don't really understand the downvotes.
