Friendly Fights - Multiplied Magic

Friendly Fights

It’s been over a year since the last Friendly Fights article, but the nonsense is far from over! Stormwind’s Questlines open themselves up to a lot of degenerate strategies, but the Shaman one in particular has fantastic meme potential as well. This led to the innovation of a new way to play that utilizes both Discovered AND random spells that get cast twice. We present to you a new custom game mode called “Multiplied Magic”!

Multiplied Magic

This game mode is centered around the Battlecry of Stormcaller Bru'kan and spells created by Hench-Clan Burglar and Hagatha the Witch. Now is the time to enjoy finding some fun double spell combos that are otherwise impossible in normal Hearthstone games.

Key Cards for this Game

Command the Elements - The card that makes this game possible

Hench-Clan Burglar + Hagatha the Witch - The Spell Generators

Plagiarize + Kezan Mystic - Plagarize is an easy way to give the other player specific spells needed for the set up. Kezan Mystic is the best way for the Shaman player to use it.

Vanessa VanCleef - A legendary minion everyone has that gives Rogue an easy way to copy the Stormcaller Bru'kan

Augmented Elekk - Saves you the trouble of having to shuffle stuff into your deck several times

Gang Up - The Shuffler

Violet Illusionist - Master Fatigue Blocker

Sideshow Spelleater - Lets Rogue copy the Hagatha Hero Power

Hagatha's Scheme- An easy way to clear the board after setting up

Emperor Thaurissan - Not required, but makes setting up go by much faster.

The other cards are just in there for card draw or a cheap way to empty your hand. It doesn’t matter what they are.

The Game Plan

One player needs to be a Rogue and the other needs to be a Shaman. Suggested deck lists will be at the bottom. It’s important to know what should go in these decks and why.

Step 1: Draw Out Your Deck

Load up your deck with plenty of card draw in order to empty your deck so that you can refill it with new cards. However, be careful with putting too much draw in. You still have cards you’ll need to keep in your hand, so burning one of them can ruin the whole thing. Be sure to include some throwaway cards to keep some space in your hand. You’ll also need a couple forms of removal to clear away minions too big to trade or when someone’s board gets too full.

Warning: Do Not Play Stormcaller Bru'kan right away. He needs to be saved for later.

Step 2: Prepare Your Hands and Board

By the time both decks are empty, both players should control two Augmented Elekks and a Violet Illusionist(also preferably Emperor Thaurissan by now but that’s not required).

The Rogue needs to have Vanessa VanCleef, Plagiarize,Hench-Clan Burglar, Sideshow Spelleater, and two Gang Ups in their hand.

The Shaman needs to have Stormcaller Bru'kan, Kezan Mystic Hagatha the Witch and Hagatha's Scheme in their hand.

Step 3: Begin Set Up

These events need to be finished in the following order.

-Shaman plays Stormcaller Bru'kan.

-Rogue plays Plagiarize, then Vanessa VanCleef, then Stormcaller Bru'kan

-Shaman plays Kezan Mystic

-Rogue plays Hench-Clan Burglar, then casts both Gang Ups on it.

-Shaman plays Hench-Clan Burglar, then casts both Gang Ups on it. Then they play Hagatha the Witch, preferably on the same turn if Thaurissan discounted it enough by that point.

-Rogue plays Sideshow Spelleater

-Shaman clears the board with Hagatha’s Scheme.

Step 4: Unleash Incoherent Nonsense!

*only wimps summon 3/2 imps

Rules

1: Both players must be at 30 health (or at least equal health).

2: No going face until the board is clear.

3: Try to achieve victory with the most ridiculous win condition.

Of course, you’re definitely allowed to change up these rules and even the set up if you wish. In fact, we’re all for it! After all, it’s a custom game. Do things the way YOU want to do them.

Decklists

Thanks to deck-sharing, it’s totally fine if only one of you can build the necessary decks. Here are the most efficient versions of the decks for this game.

We hope you like this concept for a fun and different Hearthstone experience. We got some fun new cards to use for both casual and ranked games, but sometimes it's nice to take a break and just play something ridiculous. Hopefully, Friendly Fights will not only offer you a new kind of Hearthstone gameplay, but also inspire you with the creativity to come up with your own! We hope you like this new series and thank you for dropping in!
