- Gruul
- Natalie Seline
- Jaina Proudmoore
- Vol'jin
- Ragnaros
- Diablo
- Varden Dawngrasp
- Cairne Bloodhoof
- Anduin Wrynn
- Tavish Stormpike
- Blink Fox
- Prophet Velen
- Cookie, The Cook
- Blademaster Samuro
- Baron Geddon
- Rexxar
- King Mukla
- Malfurion Stormrage
Gruul, the anti Meta inclusion in many of the best mercenaries teams sits proudly at no. 1, followed by Natalie Seline at no. 2 and Jaina Proudmoore at no. 3. Seeing Diablo only at no. 6 is a little bit surprising though!
We can also see a few things when we combine the Individual Rankings with the Team Comps above. No. 6 Diablo is in EVERY team. So is no. 8 Cairne Bloodhoof. They are followed by no. 2 Natalie Seline in three of the six teams. The same applies to no. 14 Blademaster Samuro, no. 4 Vol'jin and no. 5 Ragnaros. After that there's only characters that show up twice at most.
Interestingly the no. 1 Gruul and the no. 3 Jaina Proudmoore only show up once in the best mercenaries team comps, while ranking high individually. The highest ranked Individual Mercenary that does NOT show up in any of the team comps is Cookie, the Cook, at no. 13. Given that he just came out it is not too surprising however that he has not found his place yet.

As i played the Hearthstone Mercenaries best Teams are Orc together, strong – Garrosh, Samuro, Thrall, Rokara, Gul’dan, Xyrella
Hey, wait a minute... how is Gruul a number 1 again? There's no dragons in this meta, what does he counter?
Gruul has an equipment that reduces fire damage taken by your team. He's an anti-Diablo tech.
Oh, so that explains that.
Thanks, man, I guess eventually will have to work on that one.
I recently have found out that there are some programs such as deck tracker helping people to keep in check with mercs and their abilities I watched a streamer's replay against me and realized that he can see the cost of my merc`s abilities. The trick is that some of my mercs abilities weren`t maxed but normally you can't predict that. ( to be precise he checked that my Mutanus`es taunt costs 3 speed at lvl4 instead of 2 at lvl 5 decided to gamble with Vol`jin`s delay and won it). Totally fair I suppose.
So they are fine with that 'diversity' eh? Guess when ppl drop this gamemode for staleness and stop buying packs (who needs new mercs when you can just Cairne-Diablo all the way?) THEN they'll nerf the 'combo'. Oh and the packs suck anyway. No way in hell they are worth even 50% of their price, and 'coin bundles' prices are a total disrespect towards their customers.
Also, attacking SUCKS (7 speed on most attacks, really? oh but Samuro can 4spd 1-shot any caster and it's fine somehow. He is the only attacker that's being played). That Mukla in the last comp just shows how stupid Samuro is. Most defenders can't even taunt on turn 1 besides Cariel and Smite, and Cariel doesn't do anything literally than press taunt and die the next turn. Casters have as much hp as defenders and they are 'ranged'. Soooo... GJ balance.
Diablo the equipment that gives +health when something dies.
Cairne the equipment that resurrects him with 10/20/30/40 health on death.
I’ve played a lot of PvE these last few weeks trying to level everything up. I haven’t played a single game of PvP yet because I don’t have Diablo.
I logged in the other day to find out “Diablo is coming to Hearthstone” I thought wow that’s pretty clever - they haven’t nerfed him but at least now we can all play him. Nope - that’s Battlegrounds lol.
small indie company made the mode perfectly balanced: every stupid comp is built around cairne+diablo combination...brainless idiots...
Ahahah yes.
i agree diablo while countered with Gruul is still pretty stupid with Cairne its literally a coin flip when you are on the opposite side trying to execute the same "strat" (lol)
But for me personally I think fighting pit should be split into two modes just like traditional HS, there should be a pit with NO equipment lets see all those whales complain then when they are just pitted against each other.
can anyone tell me what skill and equipment for diablo and cairne that need to be upgraded for pvp? the diablo grinding sucks.
Basically you play them for Endurance Aura and Fire Stomp combo, so these are first skills to level up. The best equipment is Reincarnation and Black Soulstone.
Ahhhh, cool. THX
The 6th team is Rarrans team. Really Nice promo for him
GRUUL?????
Diablo not at 666th?
The variety of these team comps is so little you almost see no difference. There is no logic behind the team builds, unlike the original mode where you have control/quest/face rush e.t.c. decks. When such decks meet having the same heroes on both sides turns the game into a coin toss gamble.
U cant actually be talking about the current méta right?. It is only combo and aggro. The mini set added pirate otk. Wow so Much variety
Hearthstone has NEARLY always been around 2 archetypes praying on the rest, that is why it is called a META game. You cant seriously expect for all deck types to coexist at the same time otherwise you have no clue how games work. Currently the game after the mini-set is OTK rogue (which is praying on the leftover idiots playing quest mage before the mini set) and pirate warrior trying to pray on token decks.
Now you either join the "hype" train or wait until ppl figure out how to counter those popular two decks, which pretty much run 2-3 weapon removals and rogue is screwed, as for pirate warrior something will come on top soon.
