Frequently Asked Questions
They are conplaining because they were already negative about this mode 30 years ago and now they want to farm upvotes.
And if you enjoy the mode you'll be cancel cultured
Or maybe people are just expressing their opinions about disliking the mode. The overwhelming consensus so far seems to be fairly negative towards it. You think everyone is just making that up?
I was looking forward to this gamemode, but i cannot even play with it ,because the Mercenaries button with the blue outline and a flexing NEW banner does not want to start anything for me, even after waiting a whole night (thought maybe its because of the high traffic, the server just doesnt let me in but thats not the case).
Also the game crashes EVERY SINGLE TIME, i try to close it (new feature since 21.4).
The fail will be phenomenal! Worse than duels… sorry for those who preordered!
blizzard should just focus on providing more variety on constructed and BGs. All other modes have / will fail.
You must be fun at parties.
There were tavern brawls which had a higher replayability.
Are there any fun or interesting builds or strategies to finish the quests with?
Bought a few packs, flipped through the abilities... I feel like every merc basically does the same very few simple things. Where's the stupid? Where's the goof off abilities, why is everyone doing the same basic things? There is practically no variety.
Nice mode. I'm already hooked into it. I had concerns about bugs and more - but everything runs cool. Didn't spend anything yet but am still competitive on PvE level. I can even put in 3 mercs just for level up purpose.
Yeah I also played it for 3+ hours now. Will continue tomorrow!
I keep reopening my Hearthstone app but it is still showing Mercenaries as not released yet. Anyone else having this bug?
In the EST time zone and appears to be fully updated.
Lots of whiny and bitchy kids here, but this mode is actually fun as hell. Get your heads out of your middle school-aged asses.
THANK YOU! I think the same. Love the mode and it feels like Pokemon. Hope for more updates and maybe we will get events soon with halloween so close? Maybe? Lets see-
Aaand Im soft locked, because the Merchant's cart does not appear in the building menu, at all, even though I'm told to build it. And I cant do anything, restarting the game does not help. Did they even test this mode?
Just one question, how did this mode ever pass quality control?
What I hate the most is the ugliness. Besides of the little town, everything is extremely ugly and unpolished: the cards, the battle place, etc.
And at least give us an option to skip animations, at least for single player. It gets extremely boring to see them after 4-5 games.
I got bored after one game LOL
I said I would give this mode a try, and after 4-5 matches I'm bored already... That's a new record for me when it comes to trying new things before getting bored lmao.
And I'm not even mentioning the ton of bugs rn in the game
Bugs, disconnects, and when (or should I say "if") you manage to finally start it - total drab, boring, extremely ugly, plain bull jive. I'd much rather play Heroes 3 battles - much better graphics and a lot more interesting and complex strategies and tactics.
I agree. I really loved Hearthstone 20 years ago. Go down with my friends to the mall and get some new packs. Hope I open a golden. It was simpler times.
