1 Redesign (Priest)
1 Ban (Warlock)
7 Buffs (Hunter, Mage, Warrior)
Nerfs looking to slow things down further. Buffs looking at recent archetypes that didn't hit as well as we want, mix of light + medium changes. https://t.co/2yBftXgV3a
What do you personally think will get changed and why? Tell us in the comment section.
I also hate quest mage, but it looks like the deck does pretty bad in the statistics and it might get even worse when warlock and shaman gets nerfed :) https://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-207/
To me it's not about if the deck that runs the quest is good or bad but more is it fun to play against it or not. I'm reaching a point here where I simply auto-concede against mage the instant they play the quest unless I'm playing super aggro as it's usually not even worth it. and having to sit through those stupid animations is just rage inducing.
If you would actually play a game or two, you'd see that it's actually not that hard to beat these days.
Part of the problem may be all the auto-concedes Mage players benefit from. If more people would just play them and beat them, they might get discouraged and try a different deck.
Idk, I've discovered it's really, really easy to counter Quest Mage with Quest Hunter. 90% of the time if you throw back any minion producing cards in the opening hand and play slowly and carefully and make sure you never launch a minion you can't kill the same turn yourself or attack them once they cast Ice Barrier, the game then simply becomes "Mage desperately seeks target for Frost spell while taking ungodly amounts of damage and spamming the Threaten emote"
"Many players" my dude, Wild is only played by like 12% of the CONSTRUCTED userbase, which means like 5% of players total. It isn't worth Blizzard's time to worry about.
Already?
Bruh... "Wild mode never meant to be balanced" is your own opinion, not a fact, but... I will speak as your assumption is a solid fact... guess what? wild is surprisingly more fun to me and to many players, check out history, there are many inventions, invented by accident.
Sir Alexander Fleming invented penicilin by accident, George Crum invented potato chips by accident, Percy Spencer invented microwave oven by accident, and guess what? We are enjoying wild mode by accident etc... So you are using every other unintentional inventions in history in your own personal life and are you against wild mode players enjoying a mode that wasnt intended to be balanced and fun for your own opinion? bruh please... =))
I understand your statement about deprecate cards, but if that is the case, lets even not print any new cards anymore and lets balance current hearthstone perfectly and close the game development and problem solved right? =))
You spoke of the term of "eventuality" also and let me tell you my opinion about this term, first we will all gonna die(!) eventually(!) so why do you struggle?... I really mean it... so lets dump our lives and not live today? is that what your eventuality teachings say? What eventually will be, will gonna be anyways... but we can enjoy today, and enjoy our lives, and we can enjoy current wild meta by simple 4-5 card nerfs, so where is the harm in it? And I believe if developers keep balancing wild meta step by step, little by little in each expansion, that eventual bad ending for wild hs mode will be delayed greatly, no?
You also spoke of "the true reason of rotation" , The true reason of rotation (for me) is, keeping the playerbase alive. Players who will start hearthstone 5 years later, won't collect every card they need for wild mode easily. So to keep new players join hearthstone, rotation was needed. I believe this reason was more important than balance issues. I think balancing every card from every expansion from time to time is pretty doable, but there was no solution to the reason I said, so we had our rotation...
In the very end , if hearthstone exists for years from now on, I know what you said(increased card pool, balance issues) will be a huge problem one day, I see merits in your words. Maybe in next expansion, maybe 10 years later, maybe 50 years later, maybe 100 years later, I can't know, there will be some serious balance issues, but please know that you are not the only one who are capable of seeing such bad endings and please know that day didn't come yet, and wild mode is still a very enjoyable mode, so the balance expectations of wild players are not far from being fair. Let us enjoy wild mode hs while we still can ;)
It is funny how people bend the arguments in favour of what they want to discuss instead of what was really told. But since you did hit a couple of interesting points I will answer you.
First, just to clarify, I don't have any particular desire to see wild format dying. If Blizzard can sustain that mode and make all this player-base happy, sure why not. In fact if we could all live together in a never ending paradise of happiness and rainbow unicorns, would be awesome.
But that is not the point, at least no my point. I just pointed out the fact that in any card game that lives long enough, and gets updated long enough, card rotation happens. And the reason behind it, is so they don't have to deal with what you are asking them to deal. Now, they are a company, so if they keep attracting people with that, they will do. But as time moves forward, and for these very reasons that I listed in previous messages, I can for-see them paying less and less attention to that community. And that is an opinion, not a desire. So by all means, keep enjoying wild while you can, bruh ;)
From what Ive seen in Grandmasters, its too good early vs aggro and tempo decks. The version with Tinyfin and the 0 mana demon gives you good damage, together with Voidtouched Attendant and Illuciana absolutely kills Rogue turn 3/4 for example.
I dont think she is a problem for us ladder plebs, but in GM, where you can tech vs certain decks, she is devastating.
This is comming too late.
In probably 2 weeks thes should release the mini set, that can change things again.
I agree 100% but there has been to much uproar from prominent players saying how they hate the meta so action had to be taken ASAP.
well, it seems like Zeddy knew after all. I guess he is not hated by the blizzard.

Wow, another ban for warlock...?
Dude, what's wrong with the Game-Designer from HS?
I mean, we paid for these cards and they're ban the cards, we paid for... -.-
They're to dumb for balancing.
That's exactly why you shouldn't bring Hearthstone streamers into the team.
They're streamer, nothing more.
What do people say the problem is with Illucia in the first place? What if they just swapped back at the end of the first player's turn? As you say, it would ruin the early game tempo as well as it's potential to close out a game if you have lethal, but it lowers the disruption overall. But tbh, I don't know why this card would need to be nerfed - I'm just guessing that it's due to disruption
I'm looking forward to this - we really need to shake things up again. Buffs to underwhelming cards are my favourite because hopefully - and I do say hopefully with a touch of suspicion - they will be able to make some decks competitive without making them suddenly way stronger than everything else.
I full expect the buffs for hunter to be rat/swarm related stuff. It would be nice if they buff hero power synergy in mage... and warrior I guess would be big warrior? They did release Lothar and Cowardly Grunt this expansion.
I think the ban will be stealer of souls, and i think they will nerf the card draw for the warlock.
If i'm wrong i'm stupid.
They can't ban cards from Wild AND Standard
I know that.
Oh yes, I look forward to the mage meta. Fun guaranteed!
I really don't get how standart players see wild mode as a boogeyman and a mode that should be dumped, its so selfish, people might have different tastes than yours, so first please accept this fact. Secondly, imbalanced metas might frustrate wild players, just like unhealthy standart metas might frustrate standart players, this is also the same. I can't understand how you can fail to empathize with wild players. And neither you, nor developers decide what people enjoy. You have no right to judge nobody.
Is is harder to balance wild mode than standart mode? Yes its true, but it is also more enjoyable for many players.
The only difference between wild and standart is wild card pool is much more wide and I mainly play wild for years because of this diversity, playing standart is unbearable for me, to see all the same decks over and over again, it is true wild has some crazy combos, but meta is kinda balanced if all classes have some crazy combos, the power level of wild decks are insane comparing to standart decks but power level of wild decks are pretty close to each other and I believe this is very true, only warlock and druid classes are kinda problematic.
What is so wrong about balancing wild mode and making many players happy? I'd be happy for standart players if they fix/balance standart mode more frequently. Are you complaining about "Devs are working more hours to make people happy?" is that the problem? Are you an official lawyer of developer union or something? lul, its their job dude...
Developers and testers are paid professionals, they are no charity service, it *IS* exactly their job to fix broken things about hearthstone. The company is called "blizzard ENTERTAINMENT", so accourding to their claim, they are in the entertainment buisiness, and customers pays for their own entertainment, and I believe its within customer rights to give feedback to company about how the entertainment can be increased, no?
So dude, please let blizzard entertainment do their job to entertain people, and please let wild players enjoy in a mode you don't care. Actually please don't never ever commentate about a mode you don't care, we enjoy and love wild mode, we are happy to play wild mode, let us be happy and expect the best from a company we supported for many years,
