2 Warlock Changes Coming On Tuesday - "Mana Cost Adjustments"
Alec Dawson (team 5's lead designer) just announced on Twitter that next week on Tuesday we'll see 2 warlock balance changes as well as the time schedule for more balance changes next month.
Quote from Alec DawsonBalance schedule over next month:
8/31: 2 Warlock changes (upping mana, feels focused)
8/31 to 9/10: Evaluating meta
9/10: Decide if changes are needed
Later Sept: Decided changes go live (BGs included)
Alec's comment about Mindrender Illucia
Quote from Alec DawsonIllucia does have a bigger target on her back than before, but we shall see.
Big Battlegrounds update coming soon
Quote from Alec DawsonBalance after the big update. More info on that update quite soon!
Buffs for Warrior and Priest
Quote from Alec DawsonWe will definitely consider buffs for those decisions in September.
So they're not fixing the quest. Absolutely unbelievable how incompetent this dev team has become.
Warlock can still be tech against and dealt with by a variety of classes before the Demon Seed.
Control, Aggro, Combo OTK decks were all viable in Wild.
No class was totally over-dominating that no other class can beat it, like now... you see Warlock 90% of the time on Wild ladder, and no other class, even Aggro decks, have a good chance beating against it...
Control beats quest Warlock? Do you even play this game called Hearthstone? The final Tamsin reward literally say..."Control loses the Game 100%". That quest single handedly pushed EVERY control deck out of the meta and has caused the problem we currently see.
What they need to do is remove the fatigue being exempt from the Warlock quest and then make sure Mage loses access to infinite Fireball. I mean we all know this will never happen because control decks last far to long for mobile players and they have to keep the mobile players engaged and spending all the money for the investors. There's the REAL problem with Hearthstone.
I agree its a bit out of hand. They keep making the game faster and faster. You can hardly do any combos or play control. Some people like it some don't. I like a great back and forth game.
Flesh Giant at 12 mana or 20
Twelve is perfectly reasonable but we know this will never happen. Games of Hearthstone will never again go long due to the mobile players.
Well that is true I agree (the same with classic game mode, dodge giving away dust for classic cards). I have already stopped giving them money since Outland, but still dirty from them.
Wild was fine before that broken quest and will be after it's nerfed
Really? So why all those complaints about "broken and unplayable wild" over the last 2-3 years? Mage, Warlock, Priest, were they fine too?
They were not fine, everyone was angry about it, Blizzard just didn't cared so people gave up on complaints.
Warlock wasn`t "fine" before the quest, but was at least "more manageable" than now.
For fox sake, just make Darkglare effect not trigger more than twice a turn. Same can be done with Stealer of Souls but only once a turn. And hit the The Demon Seed already.
Hope they'll finally unban the Stealer in Wild
The final reward from The Demon Seed from 5 to 7 mana and Raise Dead from 0 to 1 mana.
Whats wrong with "reward"?
Oh boy, Stealer of Souls is going to cost 5 mana, everyone. Get ready for the new, fresh meta where warlock doesn't dominate anymore. Whew!
Thank goodness!
Just delete Warlock quest, the whole premise that your reward on turn 5-6 is "All your drawback on your cards are now direct damage to your opponent face" is the most retarded reward ever. TEAM5 really doesn't have any clue at creating cards lol.
Hey buddy. Don't use the r-word.
Wrong, Stealer is as issue, not the quest itself. Zoo Lock is trying to win by quest damage too, but after Darkglare nerf, it's not a good deck anymore (it's rather slow and has many bad matchups). Handlock is decent, but it almost never completes the quest, because it has different win condition.
How is stealer the issue when they don't even run it? :D
