Fireside Gatherings Live - Enjoy Your Early Pack Openings!
Even though this reveal season has been difficult and there has been little fanfare about events we have come to expect, like Theorycrafting Streams and such, one of the other usual events is now live: The Fireside Gathering Early Pack Opening!
A way for you to already open your packs you have pre-ordered and get a look at your new collection. You are limited to packs you got from the pre-order bundles, and you cannot get extra packs with gold. That will have to wait until the actual launch.
So how does this work?
- Go to: https://firesidegatherings.com/en-us/create
- This is the official Blizzard site for creating Fireside Gatherings.
- On this page create a Fireside Gathering at your location and at a time at least 1 hour into the future.
- You can only create a Fireside Gathering for yourself, and only you can attend yours. NO public Fireside Gatherings yet due to Covid 19.
- Once the time for your personal Fireside Gathering arrives, just log in to your Region with the packs, and you will automatically be taken to the Fireside Gathering section that is now active.
- You can stay in the section and use the Fireside Gathering specific Brawls and games, OR if you want to open your packs, just return to your main screen and go to the Pack Opening section of the game.
- Open Packs! As many or as few as you want. Be aware though, Class specific Packs (from Book of Heroes for instance) will NOT have cards from the new expansion yet. You will need to open those on Launch Day to get the United in Stormwind Cards from them.
- If you are looking for specific cards or want to know what you might be getting, use our United in Stormwind Card List to see the details!
- When you are done you can just leave or play the game as normal.
- We do not know until what time and date the Fireside Gathering will run, but usually it runs until Monday Morning. There's no guarantees though in these crazy times!

Posted Aug 1, 2021 (United in Stormwind)Had both bundles so 145 packs total. Ended up with 11 legendaries from the packs and two were golden. Really lucked out on the golden and pulled Varian and Prestor which will be dusted for full value come Tuesday. Probably the best luck I've had for a launch.

just wondering, is it including the "free" legends included in those 2 bundles i have purchased /bundle+megabundle/ already?
Or will I get another once the expansion is live?

Posted Aug 1, 2021 (United in Stormwind)Very first card, Final Showdown. Which means no chance to fish a Golden Legendary with the gold packs (I usually open them after the third pack, first time it didn't work for me).
Then no legendaries for 30 packs until the Rogue one which doesn't seem playable then another 25 packs to get Anetheron. At this point my mood is rotten.
Then in the last twenty packs, Warrior and Rogue Questline and the Paladin Divine Shield Handbuff legendary!
So 5 legendaries for 85 packs which is decent and THREE of them are pretty damn great:)

Being different packs they have different pity timers, and I've certainly seen blizz tweets stating they have no pity timer at all, as they're not expected to be common enough.

I was able to open these packs today in my Fireside gathering, along with my preorder bundle. Opened a total of 64 packs this morning. I GOT 1 LEGENDARY!!!
People don’t believe me and are calling me a troll, but it’s true. Why would I lie?

...The individual cards you get, not the packs. Say you reach Diamond 5, you get one epic card, it would make sense to wait until the expansion releases, right?
For anyone that went back to see this, yes. Opening my season chest, I got stormwind cards, such as Celestial Ink Sets, as the singular rare card in the chest, besides the packs.

But - isn't the rule
1, in first 10 packs 1 legend,
2, guaranted legend in 40 packs ?
It would mean you should get at least 2 - first for pack 1-10, 2nd within next 11-51 packs....?
All of them opened were stormwind, right?

Posted Aug 1, 2021 (United in Stormwind)Pity timer is 40. If you are extremely lucky, you would get at least 3 (counting that in first 10 packs of ANY expansion pity timer for legendary is just 10 packs!). That's why you either missed some by chance or try to demotivate others from buying...

Posted Jul 31, 2021 (United in Stormwind)Depends. Could have just had three from 80 - first in 10, second at 40, third at 30 and timer's still at 40, but depends on when they fell. Unfortunately, legendaries are really high variance, even with BLP.
