I dont know but I dont like any quests so far. They all look kind of boring and the rewards are meh for the time you get there.
I'm in love with the warlock one, I really enjoy how they always manage to revive some of the worst archetypes in the game.
First they revived discard warlock, now suicide lock is no longer a meme, it's just great.
What's wrong with that ? You don't compare identical things that's literally pointless.
Both cards have similar effect and both classes have very strong card draw.
This is a power level comparison.
For 2 mana on curve incanter's flow will reduce up to 25 mana from your cards and that's just one flow, you have two.
For 1+5 mana, 1 less card in your starting hand and TWO very conditionnal stages of the quest, this entire legendary questline will reduce less mana than that.
Flow good, Kurtrus bad.
Here is another comparison you will enjoy : Glide vs Secret Passage. Passage good, Glide bad.
Edit : sorry I meant to reply to you directly not post at the top
In a control meta, Glide is very good. It gets rid of combo pieces, handbuffed cards, removal, etc.
And your math is really bad my guy. This quest is 9 mana discount off the top half, which means Kurtrus needs 8 cards left in the deck to get the same value as one max value Incanter's Flow, and 21 to get the same value as two.
That's great. To have the same powerlevel as highrolling double Incanter's Flow in a deck that has a specific build condition? That's very strong.
And you're ignoring the fact that using Soul Frags, Glide, and Tradeable, you can have the quest done by 7 or 8 without thinning your deck by much.
Lol what is this, draw half of your deck for your next half to be reduced by (2) mana? I mean your probably even drawing more than 2/3 of your deck considering the combo to draw X amount of cards in a single turn needs at least 3-4 mana to EVEN begin with. IDK this quest seems like they didn't want to give DH a strong and easy one.
This is a quest you throw in not caring or expecting to finish. This you just want the in between effects, but if you finish the whole quest it's just a bonus
NICE...they made a suicide mill mass draw quest for dh!
what a worthless piece of crap may I say!
Very boring and disappointing quests.
questS ?
I mean this one certainly is disappointing so far, and the priest one while fun is probably way to slow and restricts deck building way too much, but the other ones seems very fun and powerful to me. That is, until they become meta of course, because we all know, the meta always sucks, regardless of individual cards, just because it's the meta.
Just compare this whole questline to Incanter's Flow and tell me it's a good card...
Compare mage cards to demo hunter cards...
both strong? :D
Would the soul shard count for the draw? If would then q will be posible to finnish while having more cards in deck
Yes it would, but you will be relying on RNG to complete all the steps
While it would add an RNG element, it could be quite consistent overall. I mean a single soul shard would count for two draws. It would allow you to hold card draw and then combo after you drew one or two at the beginning of your turn instead of requiring the full draw.
This quest is gonna be nearly impossible to complete, it's really just a worse and more conditionnal Supreme Archaeology, and the reward is trash because you will already have an extremely low curve and very cheap cards to be able to cycle through your deck quick enough
I think it's important to see the other card reveals before we toss this one in the dumpster. We still have yet to see most of the DH cards for the set, so they will probably have more synergy with this.
Also, Glide exists, currently, which will instantly complete any stage of the quest, discount everything drawn and possibly disrupt your opponent's hand.
Still doesn't seem nearly as good as the other questlines so far, though. :\
Yes of course, card reveals can and probably will make a huge difference, also there are a couple things I didn't think about when I wrote this, namely the soul fragment cards.
Glide exists, but sucks, and still sucks if you reduce the 4 drawn cards by 1 mana. You might be able to complete a quest stage instantly but you will also spend 4 mana sending your current hand (aka current game plan) into you deck, and probably giving free draws to your aggro opponent.
And the moment Glide gets so much critical mass of synergy that it becomes legitimately viable and meta, is the moment it will suck again because people will start to actively play around it, and it's very easy to play around glide, just play fast decks, dump your hand, take the free draws and win.
I think what Aegis posted further up is certainly a point to consider: you might not even aim to complete the quest but abuse the reductions in between for burst or combo turns.
When you have used Kurtrus you have like 3 cards left in your deck... I wanted to see something more defensive or controlish for DH.
