The only thing that saves it, as of right now without knowing the rest of the set, is the 2 mana spell that copies taunt minions to your hand. With that this is potentially 24 damage instead of just 8 as well as 24 armor. This could be powerful but my god is it so damn boring.

Here’s the thing that I think everyone is missing about this quest, it’s the easiest to complete. You can play guff much earlier than you can play Xyrella for instance. Moontouched amulet, feral rage and pounce can complete the quest turn four and play guff turn five. So while you don’t outright win the game, you’ve done 18 damage and have an 8/8 turn five. Meanwhile priest has gotten one discover.
Not really, the pool of cards which help you is very limited (4 cards right now, maybe some new coming?) and you forgot about the third stage of the questline.
So generally you need to play 5-6 very specific cards (quest+5 attack cards or quest+4 + coin hero power) by turn 5 and you need to have all those cards in hand/draw them by turn 5. Which is insane highroll.
I would say playing Guff on turn 6 will be as often as playing survival of the fittest on the turn 5-6 - you need to hit coin/nature studies into wild growth into wild growth/overgrowth into overgrowth into survival. So 4 very specific cards. So 5-10% of the games?
Depens, what cards will be coming, maybe it will be super easy. Right now doesnt look like that.
people always underestimate face damage and this one is so easy to complete and then you can dupe the reward , so i think this is far from trash as some people says, the problem that i have with this deck is that it seems similar to Soul DH but without the insane board clears
Hypothetically speaking you don't need to finish the quest early. With the 2 mana spell that copies taunts to your hand this is potentially 24 damage over 2 turns. It's just a matter of making the deck work around a mechanic druids have been avoiding for years because it's typically not good. It's still pretty easy to complete, and does give you some really good armor gain making it possibly a good anti aggro option, but it's incredibly boring in design.
It is ok that the card is weak. But it is not ok that the card is boring 😴

Double battlecry could make this strong.
Overall really bad. But maybe in wild with Brann...well, it could be a good finisher.
