Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy Cancel Card Reveals over Blizzard Allegations and Law Suit
Content Creators Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy, who were both scheduled to have card reveals today both decided to not do their reveals on the scheduled time due to news that broke about a law suit against ActivisionBlizzard about sexual harrassment and gender based discrimination.
Here is a link to a story on The Verge which has all the relevant information about that suit, including a statement by ActivisionBlizzard on the topic.
Below you will find the courageous video message by Alliestrasza explaining why she made her decision, as well as Lt. Eddy's tweets on the topic.
FRIDAY EDIT: Trump has announced today that he is also pulling his card reveal. Blizzard also decided to pull more reveals from their own official channels, scheduled in the next few hours. See the video in which Trump explains his reasoning below.
Hey folks, not releasing my card reveal today. https://t.co/YzFRcjwFyk pic.twitter.com/rkXEVuPM4K

Please note: This happens at other companies, if not most. Even your own workplace that you’re unaware of. Please stand up against this behavior if you see it.

As if these people had any morals to begin with from which to sit on their moral perch to judge others. Blizzard needs to cancel the streamer reveals going forward. I suspect the vast majority of us want to see the cards and don't really care about a lawsuit.
If these people had any moral consistency they'd quit the game and never promote it again. Now that would be a statement. They're so quick to cancel others, so why not do your part to cancel Blizzard?
They won't. Every single one of them will be back in a week because it's the type of characters that they are. Money > than any moral compass that they have. You'll see.
Literally, there are some people who do not care, we have our own problems we have to face. I expect after a hard day of work to come back home and see the staff that I am interested. I don't take anyone's side until I see a full investigation from the authorities. The whole hype around this upcoming expansion is ruined because of some people like them who draw to conclusions too early.
Based.
I successfully read that in his voice.
Its gonna be a great card. The best card. I know people, they tell me theyve never seen a card like mine. I know it. You know it. We all know it. Make hearthstone great again.
Gz trump you get your 15 mins of fame.
Next card reveal in approx 2 hours
“Top management exclusively are male and white”. White? They investigated for 2 years ffs. Where is info about how many of them are gays? Maybe somebody is communist? =) Just can’t understand why it’s “white” thing there.
Ok, so I aware of the situation , now where my freaking new card reveal ? Why these streamer punish me instead of Blizzard ? I am in rage now. Gonna give Blizzard $80 dollar more in their pocket because of this stupid virtual signalling
Isn't it about time for you to piss the fuck off and have Ron DeSantis give you a reach around or something?
It's desgusting that shareholders and ceo's, who are a handful of obsenely rich old white dudes that couldnt care less about gaming or the players, are making billions in the game industry, while the workers who actually create and make the games work in really insalubrious conditions and are victims of abuse and sexual harassment.. thats really fucked up.
they should have a strong union and the government and congress should institute decent labor laws for everybody. But all over the world we're going the opposite direction, the pornographically rich are richer every day and we nobodies are left with shitty jobs with long hours and shitty wages
For a moment I wondered why Donald Trump got a card for reveal...
"They happened". Not sure which country you are from, but here in United States, you collect facts then conclude; not the other way around. Its unfortunate that the woman died, but we dont know the causation and correlation. Blizzard is accused of being fault, but again, thats one side of the story. There are many cases where corporation and people were wrongfully accused. Some examples include Brett Kavanaugh fiasco.
Its ok to have burning passion but you need to keep a cool head and not let your sentiments overcome reason.
There was a two year investigations during which facts were collected and the decision was taken to proceed
The facts have been collected. The lawsuit is after the RESULT of the investigation, not unsubstantiated allegations.
Yeah, but no one actually gives a fuck about any of that. The people have spoken! They want their digital pretty pictures in a shitty card game shown, dammit! And whoever got fucked, consensually or not, be damned!
But here in United States, we collect facts, then conclude..... Are you sure about that statement, lad?
This was a 2 year investigation, the deceased women had her picture of her meow meow passed around on an company event, the dude who she was on a business trip with had a lube and a plug with him, and to add to that, she had a history of another company already sexually harrasing her, these three facts can be found within 5 minutes if you look into it. So the is a high chance that the suicide is correlation with the things that happen in the company.
I get that you love Blizzard, but in order to see the whole picture of what is going on, you clearly need to put your passion away and think about it for a second, because Blizzard isn't the first nor the last company that has messed up idiots thinking they can get away with everything just because they are on a higher positions then their female targets.
You are no judge, that is the only thing that counts. As strong as the directions points towards Blizzard, it is still no reason to already start pointing fingers. And btw i really don't care about the reveals, I will just see the expension and be suprised.
And calling me autistic or heartless based on a few lines is very weak to set power to your point. I am just explaining the justicesystem that we lucky enough to have in so many country's.
there was a two years investigation that ended in the decision to pursue the facts in court. So people who know the facts are pretty sure there IS a case.
Since when do judges determine the truth of reality? People seem to have a gross misunderstanding of the legal system in America.
