Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy Cancel Card Reveals over Blizzard Allegations and Law Suit
Content Creators Alliestrasza and Lt. Eddy, who were both scheduled to have card reveals today both decided to not do their reveals on the scheduled time due to news that broke about a law suit against ActivisionBlizzard about sexual harrassment and gender based discrimination.
Here is a link to a story on The Verge which has all the relevant information about that suit, including a statement by ActivisionBlizzard on the topic.
Below you will find the courageous video message by Alliestrasza explaining why she made her decision, as well as Lt. Eddy's tweets on the topic.
FRIDAY EDIT: Trump has announced today that he is also pulling his card reveal. Blizzard also decided to pull more reveals from their own official channels, scheduled in the next few hours. See the video in which Trump explains his reasoning below.
Hey folks, not releasing my card reveal today. https://t.co/YzFRcjwFyk pic.twitter.com/rkXEVuPM4K

Please note: This happens at other companies, if not most. Even your own workplace that you’re unaware of. Please stand up against this behavior if you see it.

Aaaand here we go again. This might be shocking but i dont care for ANY of this when im palying hearthstone, im only interested in the game.
You mean a shitty game with shitty cards made by shitty people, who just want money from you so they can continue being shitty?
You, sir, are a paragon of integrity.
Retarded Response
This guy gets it.
Take the cards. Leave the dramonni.
Can we at least get a list of which card reveals won’t be shown so we’re not stuck with our hopes up and our pants down 🙄
Just the hearthstone and WoW reddit subs blowing up as usual, they are populated by bitter old players who haven't touched the games in years but just hang out there as ex-addicts (for some some strange reason, move the fuck on, jesus).
Atleast on reddit, these are the people making all the noise. It reminds me very much of the Hong Kong thing a little while back. Some people have to accept that we're just here to relax, forget about the shit of the day and play video games. The day we stop playing and buying Activision products is the day they stop producing game we're interested in. Things like poor game content, microtransactions...in game problems matter to me, might actually make me one day stop playing their games...as for real world related Activison BS, I do not care and I will pay no attention. It is all a load of shit I do not care about or even remotely want to spend time thinking about... sorry.
If I were to start caring about corporate in this way it sure as hell wouldn't be people related, but environmental...and I'd be spending my time complaining (and boycotting) about Nestle, Pepsico Exxon Mobil, etc.. y'know, corporations that are actually bringing about the end of our world as we know it...and i don't even do that. And neither do most of you, this is just outrage porn to most of you and you love it.
So Activision is fine lol.
In this DNA age, we live, where actually women have the right to speak, and I want to support women's rights until there are facts and evidence.
Until then I can live without hearthstone or any Blizzard game, to be honest. There is a lot of other game. But this problem should be fixed. First, we had Hongkong banned, from the master league. And blizzard says no politics in our platforms. Later Black lives matter comes up witch I staying with BLM, but what I didn't like was that blizzard took a stand too: politics and genetics action. So Blizzard atm have done much fatal error and this is just too much. And for me it is important. So I will wait and see until then I just have my eyes open. And have harassment that a lady has to kill herself is too much. It needs to be solved.
Sorry for my english and wrtiting dyslexia.
Apparently, women and people of different color and different sexual orientation don't have the right to speak, according to this fuckhive of a community.
None of us are a jury and none of us have the facts. Yes it's terrible what's going on but most of us come to this site to talk about and play a card game, not discuss lawsuits. I'm not going to make judgments until we have all the facts. The hype for this expansion is all gone so hopefully they just release the cards.
Exactly. And in the US justice system, you are innocent until proven guilty. These streams are jumping to conclusion way too fast and will look really stupid if Blizzard is found innocent of the allegations.
There's no way blizzard is "innocent" of the accusations. It was a two year investigation. They happened. The court will make a legal decision over what the response is.
The conclusion won't be "that woman faked her own death! And no one was sexually harrased at all! Blizzard was falsely accused!! A total haven for women!!"
Does it need to be a haven for women? If they are so awful at Blizzard, maybe they should leave and start their own company instead of having big daddy government step in and and make everyone play nice. Any criminals should be charged, but why is the government being brought in to police culture?
We don’t know the fact but the people who investigated for two years do. And they decided they had enough to go to court
It's just a f**king children's card game. You guys really need to chill out. Missing a few card reveals is not going to kill you.
In a months time, they will be complaining about broken decks and not about streamers not revealing a card. None of them will even give a shit about streamers not revealing their cards past the final reveal stream.
And all card reveals were moved to a final dump stream on monday, it was expected to be honest, just look at this chaos in the comments, almost all other sites are probably in the same spot with people insulting to no end
It’s weird to me how many people are posting that this is a bad/dumb/ineffective way to protest.
We are all having this conversation right now.
It’s happening on Reddit and outofcards too.
You don’t have to agree with their methods, but you have to admit that it worked. They wanted to raise awareness. And they did. Significantly more people are aware of the issue now, than otherwise would have been. That was their whole point.
Protesting in response to allegations comes off as annoying virtue signal. People should just wait for it to go through the court process. If they are proven guilty, then we can protest all we want and it would be fully justified.
It was a two year investigation. These accusations happened.
